  • Someone parked in my spot last night, I didn't sleep well, and when I finally did (coming into work a little later than usual), my dreams were disturbing.  When I got to work, I found a voicemail message from the loan officer who was trying to do the paperwork for that house we wanted - and gave up on when we learned that our apartment lease was binding.  It's a buyer's market, even though interest rates just went a up a quarter of a point, and the seller really wants to work with us.  The loan officer worked up a new type of contract that he hopes will be "amicable" to both parties.  At this point, it looks more "amicable" to the seller, but Steve and I will take a look at it and see what's going on.  The real estate agents also considered giving up some of their commission to pay half a month of rent each for us.  I still say that if we can drag this process out for another couple of months, we don't have to change the contract at all and each real estate agent can eat a full month's rent.

I sang too much last night, and I think I hurt my throat.  This is not good if I hope to perform next week.  This means no dairy products and lots of tea until it feels better.

I hope to update this later with some happier news.  I'm just not feeling it today.  Peace.
