You'll forgive those both being NPR stories, won't you?  That's what I listen to on my way to and from work.
I'm feeling a little bit wee-er around the waist after monitoring calories, saturated fat, cholesterol, and daily nutrients (among many other things).  This morning I had a bologna sandwich for breakfast, but that didn't blow things out of the water.  It just means I need to stop and get salad stuff on the way home, have froo-it for a snack, and a "sensible dinner."

    Funny:
If it's all about moderation, shouldn't it be "Most things in moderation"?

I had a dream right before I woke up about going back to undergrad.  I was still married, but my husband was going to stay with my parents and I was going to live in the dorms up at my alma mater.  I had a busy day scheduled, but I still managed to miss a chemistry lab demonstration on the first day.  My roommate, you see, wanted to meet with me for dinner.  One class ended at 4:45 and I had an evening one at 7:00, so I was going to get back at 5:00 for dinner with her.  I think her boyfriend was there.  It was only then that I realized I wouldn't see Steve until the weekends, and I sat on my bed and got out my laptop....  Interpretation:  getting excited about school, obsessing over my boss getting back and getting ready for regular work to resume, and thinking back fondly on a simpler time, without all the "stuff" I have now.  Oh, I like my stuff, and my life, but sometimes the life of a lonely wanderer seems exciting and freeing, doesn't it?  I know you're not all Beatles fans, but do you know that song "Free as a Bird"?  No, not "Free Bird."  This is a song they found after John had died, and they remade 10-12 years ago for the Anthology set.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeek - undergrad. I remember those days (well, most of them - some are a little foggy - hee hee). I was chatting with a girlfriend about the two of us getting our Masters degrees (her in MLS and me an MFA). She has the ability to go anywhere so I asked her why she won't. She has no ties and this is one of those glorious opportunities to see things outside of our neck of the woods. So, we drank pinosas and ate Cuban food and giggled about undegrad years.

moderation could be a good answer...

I say this so often in my head that even I'm sick of me.  Everything in Moderation, including moderation.  You have to give yourself permission to overindulge occasionally. Otherwise you're boring! ;)

Ah, Post-Mortem releases. Why not steal from the dead? It's not as if he made it, thought better of releasing it, and sat on it because "it wasn't good enough", is it? I know, some artists were un-recognized in their lifetimes, but this is a BEATLE, for god's sake--everything they put out went gold--except that.
So, what's the song about, anyway?

Braunshweiger with Miracle Whip on white Wonderbread - that's not moderation!!!  but what the hell - sometimes in life one must simply be bad.

Did you finish Kiki Strike?  I couldn't read it backward or forward.  How is it and what shall I tell the kids?  ^^ Liverwurst on white bread with Hellman's is the the breakfast of champions!
