Our Global EconomySue Whom You Can BeatYou'll forgive those both being NPR stories, won't you? That's what I listen to on my way to and from work.
I'm feeling a little bit wee-er around the waist after monitoring calories, saturated fat, cholesterol, and daily nutrients (among many other things). This morning I had a bologna sandwich for breakfast, but that didn't blow things out of the water. It just means I need to stop and get salad stuff on the way home, have froo-it for a snack, and a "sensible dinner."
Funny:
If it's all about moderation, shouldn't it be "Most things in moderation"?

I had a dream right before I woke up about going back to undergrad. I was still married, but my husband was going to stay with my parents and I was going to live in the dorms up at my alma mater. I had a busy day scheduled, but I still managed to miss a chemistry lab demonstration on the first day. My roommate, you see, wanted to meet with me for dinner. One class ended at 4:45 and I had an evening one at 7:00, so I was going to get back at 5:00 for dinner with her. I think her boyfriend was there. It was only then that I realized I wouldn't see Steve until the weekends, and I sat on my bed and got out my laptop.... Interpretation: getting excited about school, obsessing over my boss getting back and getting ready for regular work to resume, and thinking back fondly on a simpler time, without all the "stuff" I have now. Oh, I like my stuff, and my life, but sometimes the life of a lonely wanderer seems exciting and freeing, doesn't it? I know you're not all Beatles fans, but do you know that song "Free as a Bird"? No, not "Free Bird." This is a song they found after John had died, and they remade 10-12 years ago for the Anthology set.

So, what's the song about, anyway?
