Could write about how composition theory went from those four models I mentioned Tuesday to mostly rhetoric, but I won't - today. Something lighter.
I'm wearing a blouse today. I bought it the day after Christmas. It fits better today than it did a month ago, and that was even BEFORE we went to Steak'n'Shake and ate everything on the menu. Tonight I'll be back in the gym. I'll be tired, but holy crap is it worth it. When I work out, I find that I'm less hungry/wanting food later, too.

Possible trip to SA (San Antonio, for those of you who can't read my mind for some reason

) for Spring Break, which coincides with Holy Week. It's a Catholic school, so this timing makes sense.
Here are some fun and true sayings. 2, 6, 9, and 10 were a bit much for me, but here's what's left.
1. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
3. Growing old is inevitable. growing UP is optional.
4. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.
5. Silence is often misinterpreted but never misquoted.
7. Faith is the ability to not panic.
8. Laugh every day, it's like inner jogging.
11. Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.
12. The most important things in your house are the people.
13. When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still so He can untangle the knot.
14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead. I'm off to Cleveland tomorrow for a big dorky annual movie marathon. Be back Monday, my friends

I like number 11. :)
If you want to read some Lovecraft, there are lots of collections, but most of his stuff is free to read online too. Here are all of his stories. I'd suggest Rats in the Walls, Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath, The Thing on the Doorstep, and The Colour Out of Space to start. At the Mountains of Madness is one of his best known stories and may soon be made into a movie. There is also Pickman's Model which was a Nightshadows episode I think. Both Dreams in the Witch House and Herbert West: Reanimator were made into movies, but the movies have very little to do with the stories. From Beyond and the Unnamable were also made into movies, but about the only thing they had in common with the stories were their titles. Imprisoned with the Pharoahs was supposedly written with Houdini, but I never cared for it.
Feeling much better this evening
I quit my job!!!
YAY
Congrats on the inches loss and have a great trip!
Dear Emily,
Coming over here these days makes me feel like I'm back in college. I see you haven't posted since last Thursday. Hope the "big dorky annual movie marathon" was fun. I actually went out to the movies this past weekend. Now that the AMC has lowered matinee prices to $6.00 (from $8.50) it makes more sense to see some films in the theater since the cost isn't prohibitive.
Of course I want to see 2,6,9, and 10!
