  • So, the Iraqis are blaming the US for not keeping the green zone safe enough, even though it was likely Iraqi undercover workers who carried out the bombing at the parliament yesterday.

So, I guess the thinking is that now that the US butted in, took over the country by force, we are going to be responsible for everything over there.

    Hmmm.

Breathing Room for the crowded people in the Fatherland, eh?

Oh wait, that was Germany in 1939. Silly me.

    We're seriously what.

I am still a proud card carrying Isolationist. Have been since 7th grade. I don't mind us helping when people ask but we are not the world's policemen.

    Mutant Enemy. Urg. Argh.

I think that was the first theory I heard when Shrub first suggested going into Iraq, that it was a grudge match to get Saddam for Poppa.
  • Breath_Of_Dawn
    Here here!!!!

And folks think the shrubs had nothing to do with 911? Yeah, and Lee Harvey Oswald thought up the JFK thing all by himself....

Ever wonder how they happened to find out so fast who the bombers were on 911?
  • nathanomir
Oh man! The 9/11 conspiracy makes JFK look like child's play. For starters, Osama Bin Laden was trained by the CIA and was on his payroll in September, 2001. Second, the man who blew the whistle on Osama and called for his head left the FBI about six months before 9/11 ... and became the head of security for the World Trade Center and was killed by the very people he was pointing at. A coincidence? The line of attack and debris at the Pentagon suggests far more a tomohawk missile than a 737. Why did President Bush remain at a photo shoot for an hour after hearing the World Trade Center had been attacked?

As Dan Rather once said about Bush Senior, what did the president know and when did he know it?
  • nathanomir
And we won't go into how the steel girders at the World Trade Center should have survived the blast and fire, and metalurgists at the site said the wreckage they saw indicated an internal detonation caused by high explosives, not jet fuel. Who planted them? And how did they know to plant them?

And they have the sheer gall to raise our gas prices! There's an old saying in the South -- don't piss on my back and tell me it's raining.

You have to be a blind follower to believe the story we've been handed.

So, with all the outstanding technology we have, why can't we find Bin Laden?

Or as Shelly Berman was want to say, "missed me by that much...." Or was that Get Smart?

Hah, I'm staying out of this one...
Politics for me is, and unfortunately it seems so for most everyone else as well, "Hey, I don't know all the facts, but I'm going to assume this and attack that anyways. And by the way, I'm right. Period."
Nasty republicans, democrats, wars! Let's just have a large pillow fight and call it even! Please? Pretty please...

    :(

We do know Saddam was murdering 70,000 men women and children a year prior to the Iraq war. The current Iraqi's that are killing Iraqi's are killing less than 5000 a year.

Horrible that anyone has to be killed of course but you have to be happy that the situation is not as bad as it was.

My motto is: Trust no one, especially politicians.

But I'm definitely with you on this Squirrel: Let's just all call it a day, put the toys down, take a showe, and and enjoy a nice meal together.
