  • What Luck!!

Well....I am one hell of a lucky guy. This must be the luckiest day of my life. I haven't had much good news in my life , but I sure got some today.

Of course it is a double edged sword , nothing TOTALLY good ever happens to me. There has to be a negative in there somewhere.I think if someting TOTALLY good ever happened to me I would simply have a stroke and die from the shock of it.

Now as some of you know, my dad's family came to Canada from England. My grandfather was one of 12 children , he made his way to Canada, worked his way thru university and became a minister.I don't think he ever returned to England , I don't think he ever saw any member of his family again.

My dad and my aunt have gone over and they have met some cousins that no one really knew existed before they took the time to look them up.No one with an english accent ever showed up at our door claiming to be a relative from across the pond.Certainly none have come knocking on the door of the Cave making such a claim.

I got an email today from England informing me that one of my relatives has passed away. Told you there has to be a negative involved. The good news is that after an exhaustive search for any relatives the only one with my surname that they could find is me.

Apparently my unknown relative was VERY wealthy, he left an estate of 48 million dollars and I am entitled to 41% of it. The law firm that found me gets the same amount with the rest going to pay court and search costs.

I did think it rather odd that they didn't turn up my dad in their search, or my brother or my sister, since they all have the same surname as me.I was also saddened to hear that none of my grandfathers 11 brothers and sisters had any family that lived. The email I got told me they had combed England thoroughly looking for potential heirs.

I was also a bit pissed off at the cost of their search fees because i know there is a college, and a town, bearing my family name on the Isle of Wight but according to them I am the only living relative with my last name. I don't think they are too great at searching, since they turned up no one in those places and it took them almost a year to find me.

Since it took them so long I have a limited amount of time to claim my inheritance before Queen Elizabeth gets her greedy hands on it. The way I see it, I need that money more than Liz and Phil do.

So all I have to do is send this law firm one thousand dollars and they will start the ball rolling for me in England and i'll get my 41% of 48 million dollars.

A thousand bucks for 41% of 48 million....you can do the math, but it sure looks like a good deal to me.

Told you it was my lucky day.
