| | September 26th should not be the perfect day to golf, but for some reason it was beautiful!!! Not a cloud in the sky, the weather was perfect, and it felt like a nice June summer day. Isn't it fall now? Some of the holes on the edge of the course had some nice natural scenery (and I don't mean the beer girl...) that I would have loved to have taken pics of, but no camera in my bag. I had to make room for the booze somewhere.
This was my first time playing since Sudbury, so I haven't swung a club in over 14 months. And I would like to say I did good, but I kinda sucked for most of the day. I did win closest to the pin on a 148 yard hole, dropping my ball within 8 feet of the pin. I won a bottle of Canadian Club Rye which I don't drink, so I'll probably save it for everyone for my birthday weekend, but they're gonna have to buy me some Rum for trade.
The tournament we were in was for Good Cheer, one of the alcohol delivery services in London, so of course everyone had alcohol with them and got tanked. I didn't want to drink too hard, so I stuck with a nice breakfast of Orange Juice and Coconut Rum all day. The team ended up coming in 3rd of 8 with a score of 4 under par overall. We sucked hard the first half, and somehow came back in the second when we were feeling no pain. All the other teams fell apart on the back nine. On top of my bottle of CC, I won an 18-Volt Cordless Drill... it's a man's tool!
I got sunburned/sunburnt (which one is right?) a little. You can't see it in the pic below, but I have a bad triangle of sunburn on my chest from the collar of my Beer Store golf shirt...

The weather should hold up for another week or two of rollerblading. I may try for record time tomorrow or Tuesday. I think I can beat 20K in 65 minutes...
We have a new adddition to our household. The roommates decided to go and get a third cat while I was at work the other day. Cringer (named after the cat in He-Man) is the strangest five week old kitten I have ever seen! He is already diving off the back of the couch, intimidating poor Koko, and is obsessed with everything Bubba does.
I'm holding Cringer in my one hand in the pic, which seems so weird to me. I'm used to Bubba at 20 pounds, having to pick him up like a small child. Cringer's the size of a damn chipmunk. he refuses to eat the soft kitten food and is always walking under Bubba to get at his food in the kitchen. For some reason Koko and Cringer love Bubba's expensive senior cat food, which according to the food rep, they should both hate it. Koko also went into the neighbours house today and stole their cat's food. We have the weirdest cats ever!!!
So, now the age ranges for the cats in my house are 11... 3.5... and 5 weeks. The weights are even more impressive. Bubba is 20 pounds, Koko is 7 pounds and Cringer is 1 pound exactly. So it would take two Kokos and six Cringers to make up one Bubba. Man I have a HUGE cat!
Too much booze and sun today... not enough sleep these last few days... and all new contestants to vote from the island this week.
I'm out...
