I never thought I would see the day where a) Chris Rock would be hosting the goddamn Oscars, and b) someone (that someone being Chris Rock, no less) at the Oscars would introduce Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek as two pairs of breasts.

Freaking wacky Oscars.

And I can't say I thought much of the new "everyone stand onstage and the winner will just step forward" system. I kept thinking that they were going to announce that, in order to win the Oscar, you had to defeat everyone onstage in a collective knife fight. Which, you know, would have been AWESOME.

As a total side note, it looked like Depp was wearing a Gonzo pin. Nice little homage there.

And why does Ethan Hawke always look like he's homeless? I mean, sure, he was wearing a tux, but he always looked like he was on the brink of hitting Warren Beatty up for loose change.
