| | I read Chapter 12 to her tonight, and I just realized that something that happens there COMPLETELY ruins and makes Chapters 20 & 21 useless and redundant. I had a hard time writing 20 & 21... maybe deep down I knew I was doing it wrong. It seems like a simple fix, but it isn't...
On one hand if I get rid of what is said, then Bryson looks like a complete moron... which he isn't.
If I change things just to leave the twist for later, then Detective Rose looks like a fool... which he isn't.
If I leave it the way it is, then Chapters 20 & 21 are trash, making me feel stupid... which I'm not.
I think something needs to be added. The blood stained evidence stays... Bryson stays one step ahead of Detective Rose... and no one looks like a fool. All I need is a small stain on the shoulder and a tear on the sleeve and it should all work out.
Book Three changed tonight... kind of my brat side coming out. I won't ruin it, but it'll make my readers happy (you know... when I'm actually published), but also want to hunt me down and kick my ass at the same time. I almost feel like I'm back at the newspaper causing shit again. I love the power and strength words can give you and how happy it makes you feel that you're the one creating with them...
Time to read tonight... then (re)write for the next few days...
Favorite line I forgot I wrote...
"They came to play chess, and I just sank their battleship."
