What's a sixer?
You know... a sixer.

I always get a sixer. Just get me a sixer of Bud.
Do you mean a six pack?
Yeah... a sixer.
No... there's no such thing as a sixer. It's a six pack, it doesn't actually six.
What?
Sixer. Adding the 'er' to the end of the word six means that the six either does something and has an action, like mow and mower, or there's more than what the name entails, like fast and faster. A six pack has no action and is just that, a six pack, so there's no reason for you to add an 'er' to the end of it. Get it?
Are you being a smart ass?
No. I have an English Degree and figured if I spent forty thousand dollars and seven years of my life attaining that degree, I should try and utilize it here at my glorious Beer Store job. So, I ask you again, what can I get you today?

My favourite is when they do this:

Me: Hi, what can I get for you today?

Hick: Coors.

Me: $35.90 please.

Hick: What? I just wanted twelve.

Me: (trying very hard not to roll eye) $17.95 please.

He pays me the $17.95. I push out a 12 bottle of Coors light.

Hick: No, I meant cans.

Me; throwing individual Coors bottles at the fucking fucker who thinks I can read minds (in my head).

The only thing good about your life at the Beer Store is that it makes for great posts:)

And you were thinking of becoming a teacher at one point - see how rewarding it is to impart your knowledge;)

omg...welcome to my hick world! btw....if you have an English degree why in the hell are you stuck in a Beer Store??? Mat I am sending good vibes to you.....you should get a teaching cert. :) ryc: my neoghbor took the signs down...maybe it was the pressure of the decent people in my neighborhood. and i think a ticket out here is about 300 american....hmmmm. I do need a pool boy :)

re re ryc: ok, armed you may be but we all know its the shoe size that determines how big the man is. HA. I still havent figured out the width....but wasnt very good at Trig anyways :) someone once told me to count the rings..... uhhh i didnt ask them to explain....I was a little uncomfortable after that. (runs away )
