This past week's used bookstore finds...

Survivor - Chuck Palahniuk
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay - Michael Chabon
One Hundred Years of Solitude - Gabriel Garcia Marquez
The Mambo Kings Play the Songs of Love - Oscar Hijuelos
Stories From the Vinyl Café - Stuart McLean

and

The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan CD

I have way too much shit to read now.  Survivor is a must for the cottage, Kavalier & Clay as well.
I just finished Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and just started So Long and Thanks for All the Fish,
Book Four in the Hitchhiker's Trilogy (don't ask).

Still contemplating Dylan on Wednesday... and a different Dylan tattoo.

Must sleep now...

I adore Stuart MacLean. And I love that book! The man has a knack for descriptive hilarity; laughed out loud numerous times. My all-time fave stories of his are the Christmas turkey and the cat in the toilet (Vinyl Cafe Unplugged). He makes me proud to be a Canuck, he does.

I've got Marquez's book here on my shelf.. I've yet to read it. Your post is about the 5th time I've seen that book title in the last two days. Think I'll pull it out and read it this weekend.
