My baby made it to 15 years old today!
  • I remember him crying in a cage at the pet store the day his sister was sold and I bought him a few hours later.
  • I remember naming him George because a friend of mine loved the line from the Bugs Bunny cartoon "I'm gonna love him and squeeze him and call him George" only to find out years later the line is actually from Of Mice and Men.
  • I remember how quiet he was all the way home, to cry the second he got in the house as I tried to sneak him up the stairs.
  • I remember my parents not wanting to keep him and trying to convince me to let him go to live on my cousin's farm.
  • I remember him only being about half-grown and being bigger than our older cat Whiskey.
  • I remember him diving under the covers of beds to stay warm.
  • I remember him trying to climb my leg the second I opened a can of tuna.
  • I remember him sunbathing in the middle of the road, not caring that cars were honking at him.
  • I love how we would let him out the front door and he would bolt across the street and straight up the telephone pole every time, then cry because he was stuck half way up.
  • I remember him getting older, but still playing whenever he can.
  • I love how if I would sit on the floor of the kitchen he would sit in the doorway and wait for me to throw treats past him, no matter how long it had been since the last time we played 'treats' together.
  • I love how he was always in the drive way when I came home from where ever I was and was always the last face I saw in that same drive way whenever I left.
  • I love how everyone in the neighborhood knows him and he can go in and out of any house he wants, just to visit.
  • I love that he has met and lived with all my cats (except one) and has been a big brother to them all.
  • I love that my little baby Charlee is there right now with her big brother when I can't be...
  • I love that he was there in the driveway to say goodbye when my dad drove me away from that house 16 months ago to move to Taiwan and change my life...
  • I remember when they told me he wouldn't make it until Christmas this year...
  • I remember how they didn't think he would see New Years...
  • I remember when they said he robably won't see his 15th birthday...
  • I love that my dad sent me photos and a video of my baby, on what will be his final birthday...

I love that he has always been mine, and no matter where I am, he's my boy...

Aw!!  I love cats.  They all have such interesting and different personalities.  My cat is a bit anti-social, but she loves attention anyway, lol.

Wow, I can't believe you've been in Taiwan for 16 months already?!  That's so crazy!  I really don't like this rainy / cold weather.  I went to a night market to buy a new jacket last night.  I really want to buy some boots too, since they are so much cheaper here than in America.  I wonder if you live in the area where I'm staying, since I live in an area with a lot of foreigners...do you know Tian Mu?  I am still sort of confused by the bus system, but the subway is pretty easy now...I think.  Well, I have yet to try going to places by myself.

hi!  so cute....you could have also added I remember when he used to kill squirrels and leave the tails on the neighbors porches as gifts lol.....made me laugh.  Is there any way to get your videios to a file on my computer?  I want to show the kids at teh daycare the video of Taipei 101 on new years.
