He sails into the sun
With a smile on his face
And his Captain's hat set straight
His family on the shore
By the edge of the river
Waving to their father
As he sets sail
On the water
On the rivers
On the lakes
On his home away from home
His passion
His love
The water
I see him there
Stronger than I
Knowing where he is going
And where he has been
Family waiting for him to return
A wife just as strong
But who melts when he returns
And sons who idolize
The great Captain
And daughters
Who make his eyes sparkle
Brighter than a sunset
Reflecting off the water he loves
So strong and brave
Standing at the front of his ship
Tall and straight
Perfect in so many ways
With a smile on his face
And his Captain's hat set straight
Leading his boat
And his family
Like the Knight of the sea
Giving us strength
And hope...
