Sunday, September 18, 2005   Top 5 things you'd rescue during a house fire. Of course, given your family would automatically be outside the house in safety. Things I would carry out: My workbag which already houses: my psp, iPod, my Canon, glasses, cell phone, wallet, and keys. My laptop and external HD (half my life is in that HD!) My other camera (Lumix). The box of things under my bed filled with comics, old artifacts and memories, letters from people, and yearbook. My sleddogs. What about you? "They think that they're better than anything and everyone else." starting off your entry about a group of people that supposedly find themselves superior to all other races shows that obviously, you think that you're better than them to say such things and judge in such ways. a bit hypocritical, are we? "Understand that their language came to be because the people were lacking any intellectual capacity and couldn't learn Chinese (Jin The MC says 'you gotta learn Chinese'), so they made an even easier language. Their language is really ugly. I have to say that. Kinda sounds like a dying chipmunk trying to say it's last words. The written language is quite dumb too. What's with all those circles?" considering korean history as a peninsula and the land used as a bridge for most of asia to come into and trade/travel through, the coincidence of similiar sounding words in the korean and chinese vocabulary cant be surprising. i understand you tried to add humor into this part of your entry, but it just wasnt funny enough to ignore the rest of your ignorant post. whats the point of having a language that is so difficult to read, write, or speak like chinese? korean is simple, not stupid, and it would be greatly appreciated if you would stop being so judgmental. Stick to cell phone and tire production, please." so is that why i see so many white people playing baseball and so many black people playing basketball, etc? there are just some certain sports that a certain races are drawn to and tend to play, it doesnt mean that they all think that they're going to go pro, or that their children are. golfing is actually a very good way to keep in shape, and even though i detest it myself, you have no right to judge any person and his/her favorite pasttimes. i dont judge you for writing extravagant entries on your xanga, do i? "I don't want to talk about looks because that shouldn't be the basis of an opinion. It's through my understanding and years of experience with too many Koreans that I have come to the conclusion that they are arrogant and deserve to be mistreated." well if you're arrogant enough to write an entry this long about another race and assume so many different aspects of a whole group of people of an ethnicity, whos the judge who? so if all people that are arrogant deserve to be mistreated, i guess you're right along that line as well, no? "I really dislike Korea. It has to be the most superficial, mindless (although they make good cellphones!) country on the planet. Most of them have a huge arrogance complex and would sell their soul to bring any glory to Korea." i agree, korea DOES produce awesome cellphones, and so many other things as well. some aspects of the country may seem superficial and mindless, but what country doesnt have those aspects? its the same as china, japan, europe, america, etc. you cant stop people from being superficial, and as society feeds us this mental garbage day by day, it'll only get worse. and whats wrong with a bit of patriotism/nationalism? you dont think every other country in the world has some of that? "Racist? Yes, more so than any other modernized country. When Koreans move to another country such as Canada or America, they often hold on to their stubborn hate of all things non-Korean." i understand that some Koreans might be racist, but as ive been saying til now, ALL races have racist individuals. "chinks, gooks, niggers, crackers, redskins," etc. if we hated all things that are non-korean, then how would we have adapted to the english language so well to create such racist terms? racism began everyone b4 america even began to become a melting pot. you fail to look around and see all the other judgmental and racist human beings, blinded too much by your hate for korean/koreans. "Take a few classes, learn their history, and become an exchange student under a Korean family and you'll find all their dirty secrets. You like to beat your wife? Or drink yourself into a coma daily (who cares about Soju anyway?) at your local bar? Don't worry it's commonplace here. Are you willing to cheat or lie to save some face? Good, you'll fit right in. A Korean family is a business. Education? It comes with complimentary whippings for anything below an "A" grade. Free-thinking? You're better off finding Osama. Friendly people? No, for the most part, they love to talk behind each others backs. The Korean ideology is to show no emotion--someone needs to remind them that we are all humans. The world isn't just for you." i agree that many koreans (especially from past generations) are more reluctant to outwardly show their emotions than others, and that their ways of thinking may be different from the american ideology, not all families and people are the same. going along with your mentality, i guess that would also have to say that all chinese people eat cats and speak extremely loudly for no apparent reasons at all, smell extremely bad, and are racist/judgmental? personal experiences and biases are no reasons for labelling a whole group of people with harsh, untrue statements. "The L.A. riots would be an example. The Koreans wouldn't allow blacks to come into stores because they felt that the Blacks were "dirty". How stupid is that? I say that America takes over Korea--or we could just nuke them. It's sad." what about segregation? im sure that america has so much more of a right to take over korea because they were never racist against the blacks? they made separate sections for them to eat, live, walk, even take pisses in. its that harsh that koreans couldnt let the black people into their stores? im sure the americans didnt do that, right? i guess if we were to judge on past issues based on racism and such, america should have been nuked down to microscopic, cancerous dust, no?
