Oh dear God!
I personally enjoy a nice pair of shoes. And a comfortable "made in Italy"
shirt doesn't hurt either. But when you spend upwards of $250 for a
pair of jeans that look like they've been abusively rubbed with a stick
by a caveman, you're just out of your mind. Is there a point to such
splurging and unnecessary purchases? I'm not saying we should all head
out to the local Wal-Mart and get a blue-light special pair of khakis
(even I know my limits), but what's wrong with a $75 pair of pants or a
jacket that doesn't have a designer's name splashed across the chest?
You may as well slap a $20 bill across your forehead, because that's
precisely what you're doing and it'll certainly save you a lot more
money (Cakalusa fashion tip #27).
After quickly consuming her dinner of a pride of lions, Star Jones made
sure that her layer of fat would be kept warm with the help of her
dinner's hides.
Sometimes, people don't even know what they're doing, even with their
luxurious clothing. Just take a look at every awards show and the red
carpet as movie stars pull up in their limos. There's always that
select group of people who try to "go-over-the-edge" and attempt to
make the "worst dressed" list without even trying! But the insanity
doesn't stop there, people you see at the mall dress just as ghastly.
You see these people wearing a full suit of Von Dutch (ugh), an LV cap?
(UGH!) and Uggs (UGH!). But they pay no attention, even with the amount
of awkward stares! Then their "girlfrieeeeeend" reassures their
home girl by applauding their mess of a friend. Sometimes, you just want
to smack them with a big ol' steel-toed boot--set them straight a bit,
because it's better to be hurt by the truth than to gain satisfaction from the lies.
Mmm...neopolitan.
