Friday, July 20, 2007   Art Farts Must Go! A visit to the MoMA. Shredded salami and ham stuffed into a bathtub. They call it art. I call it a waste of perfectly good cold-cuts. If there's one thing that grinds my gears regarding art, it's "Art-farts" who ruin it for the rest of those who actually produce something worthy of praise. Not a blank canvas (as seen below), or sheets of metal you can find at a local dumpster. This. This is "art." Ooooh! Now I get it! You have to place your hand on your chin like a pretentious deush who thinks "abstractness" is key! Close-up. What it really is. I teach people how to properly view art as a living. If she can do it, so can you! Step1: Approach piece of art cautiously with your arms comfortably folded, then stare for 30 seconds. Step 2: Move your head closer to the art piece and squint. Continue for 60 seconds. Step 3: Place your hand onto your chin. Exhale loudly through your nose. Step 4: Step back 2.5 yards. Step 5: Tilt your head. Stare at piece for 60 seconds. Step 6: Nod gently. Step 7: Walk away. It's high school all over again! I was hoping a boxing glove would pop out as soon as you peeked inside...but to no avail. Perhaps my next artwork will perform just that! Amanda trying to ignite her zippo for cigarette purposes of course...no artwork was harmed during filming. Yeah, it was rather huge. Like my... SHUT 'CHO MOUTH! Digital art. Don't they sell those things on Canal Street ? "Want to touch the boobie." I hear this artist is pretty big... Mmm...paint. ...with a soda on the side. Simply ridiculous. Dedicated to Steve Irwin. (Note: Amanda's Australian accent wasn't done on purpose...) A Salvador Dali. 8 sheets of painted glass. She's seen bigger... At one point, we began staring at this door for 2 minutes, pretending like we knew what we were talking about. All of a sudden, a group of 5 people come behind us and stare. The epitome of Art-fart posers. This is why I love art. To criticize. Being jizzed on. Now THAT'S art. I call this piece "wet cardboard". This is what I called "Metallic Secks". Aren't I so arty?
