Tomorrow we close on the new house.  It doesn't actually mean anything except that Dave has to take off work to sign a lot of papers and acquire a lot of debt, but since the owners are renting it back from us for another month, we can continue on as usual, pretending the move may not happen.  Although, at any moment, I am expecting (with a combination of dread and relief) Mover Man to leap back into our lives and sort us all out.  We had sneak previews of his intentions last night when he dragged the workbench up, almost singlehandedly from the basement, except that when he got to the top of the stairs, he realized it wouldn't fit through the door, so his errand boy (also known as Yours Truly) got to run and fetch a bunch of tools so that we could take it apart on the stairs (because it was way too heavy to lug back down the stairs).  Ah, what beautiful days await us!

And although no one commented on yesterday's post, I do not grow discouraged or dismayed because I just discovered this "footprints" log in my Feedback where I can see how many "hits" I get a day.  So, I can comfort myself with the knowledge that someone is actually look at my site.  And beware, because it tells me what state you are looking from.... so I see you Washington staters skulking around out there!!
