Good Morning!!  It is a dull, dark morning here....we think it rained last night but, this being Southern California...we aren't sure??  It looks like it did...my car is wet...is it possible??  Well, maybe so!!

So, I had a great visit with Jennifer!!  She looked fabulous!!  Tanned & Blond!!  Dresses a bit sexier since her divorce is final & her figure would make a grown man cry!!  She is still my Jennifer, though!!  Lots of fun!!  We had dinner when she got here. Eating out on the Patio, with the Tiki lights burning.  Made Fuzzy Navels, she hadn't had those before,  so before we knew it the whole pitcher was gone.  Not to worry, we made another!!  We talked till the wee hours.  She slept down in the Living Room on the hid-a bed.  She slept until about 10am....which she told us is totally abnormal for her!!  At least she was comfortable & didn't have to worry about children running around.  We didn't go to bed until 3am!!  When we got up on Sat., we took her out for breakfast.  Hung out on the Patio, again!!  Before we knew it, it was time for her to go back.  But, she is going to see RUSH with my friend Jim!!  When Jim & I were dating, she would babysit for me, way before I even knew Tim!! 

So, Jim called Sunday night...told him the news that he has a date for RUSH.  He seemed to be happy with that!!  So, the plan is that I will go down to San Diego around 2 on the 25th, go to Jennifer's, meet up with Jim & Tim around 7pm, possibly stop & get something fast to eat, then go to the concert.  Sounds like a plan!!

Now, you aren't going to believe this but....I didn't take any pictures of Jennifer!!  I will when we go to the concert....I guess I was just having so much fun...the camera never even came out for anything!!  She got a new truck, too & I didn't even take a pic of that!!  How lame was that??  Plus, my scanner isn't working so I can't even scan the old pics I have of her!!  But, I will come back to it & post them when I make them....Forgive me!!  She also brought me birthday presents!!  She gave me a homemade angel for the Christmas tree, a Mary Englebreight memo pad holder that's magnetic for the 'fridge & a little picture frame thing with angels on it....she loves angels!!  Plus, the most beautiful birthday card I think I have ever been privileged to receive!!  Had a sweet sentiment about the bestest friends become family...& that is so true with Jennifer...she isn't just my really great friend, she is a member of my family & I am a member of hers!!  God, I love this girl!!  I hope we make this a regular occurrence...when she doesn't have her children, she can come stay the night anytime!!

Ryan went to pick up his car yesterday.  No, he didn't get his car....they got him to go all the way to Pomona....told him it was ready Monday...and again before he left, they told him it was ready.  Then, when he got there...he found out that his car had been broken in to...his stereo stolen, the passenger side door panel was stolen, and the center console!!  He was told that instead of being locked up in the yard of this business, they had put his car on the street!!  Not only that but, they were supposed to rebuild his engine, put on a new head, replace the starter, radiator, & water pump.  Well, apparently they did rebuild the engine & put on a new head & water pump...but, no radiator or starter.  So, when he went to get the car, it wouldn't start.  When he found out stuff wasn't done...who did he call??  Mommy & Timmy!!

After Tim spoke with the owner, it was decided that the additional work would still be done by them...no more $$ will be paid until it is actually running!!  Plus, they are liable for the stolen property because they had reasonable care & control over the vehicle & failed to properly secure the vehicle by putting it out on the street when it wasn't even fixed!!  Another lesson in life for Ryan....he has always been the type that will not listen to other's experiences, he always has to find out on his own how unfair life is & how people you would never think would rip you off, will!!  Tim told him from the get-go not to take his car to this place but, Ryan wouldn't listen...so, now he has to accept he got ripped off!!  Wonder where he gets his stubborn streak??

Well, gotta go....I have more cleaning to do....I have to go look for a job, too!!  Our funds are just too tight for me to feel like I can enjoy this time off...besides, I would be happier working.  I miss getting dressed up for work...going out to lunch with my friends....being productive.  I probably won't go & start testing until next week though.  Gotta get in to the mind-set.
