I've been making a monumental effort to get into work at a consistent hour. Today because of a meeting and a clerical testing. The meeting was postponed. The testing I completed all modules and may be able to cancel the session for tomorrow, if HR deems the scores good enough. Turns out I can type 57 wpm with a 1% error. I could probably do better. The clerical testing was frustrating just because it was off of Office 2000. So there were questions that I knew but didn't figure out because of the format difference. A lot of it, even stuff I didn't know, I could work out. Scored as follows:
Word 84% (basic 93, intermediate 77, advanced 78)
Excel 91% (b 94, i 78, adv 100)
Powerpoint 74% (b 94, i 60, adv 58)
So who knows what will become of this. I still need to send our more resumes.
In other news, the weekend was an eventful one because our daughter was baptized. It was a coordinating nightmare simply because no one wanted to be adult or inconvenienced enough to stick to the plan. Last minute I was wondering if people were going to show up, be late, etc. I was exhausted by the end of the day. So much so, that I politely asked my mother to go home a day early. But the Girl got some nice gifts and was happy at the whole thing. Through it, I may be extending friendships to people I hadn't gotten a chance to know up until now. That's always a good thing. For now, I'm glad that the week was over and that I get a chance to recharge my energy for this week. I desperately need it.
In any case, off to work. Things to be done.

Congratulations on the baptism. Best wishes on the recharge . . .
Have a happy day at work!
And congrats on the christening - do people congratulate eachother on christenings? I feel like it warrants something.
Typing speed testing frightens me... I'm fast, but I suspect I'm not accurate.

@underused - Thank you and that was perfectly appropriate.
