in a fair world having a sickness such as strep throat would grant you immunity from all other illnesses for at least a month. let me just tell you that it is most infuriating to still be on penicillin for the strep throat and then get a regular cold, of the stuffy-nose and cough variety. treacherous immune system.

I saw on tv at about 3 am last night that taking large quantities of Vitamin C, while not curing the common cold, has been shown to shorter its duration.

oh, I have the best cold shortener: it's a zinc nasal gel called Zicam. it's great.

next time you look up at the clock and see that it's 3 a.m., go to bed.

A roomate in college heard that if you grind up onions, put them in one of those nasal spray things and squirt in up your nose, that it will cure your cold in like a day.  He said it worked, really well actually, but he said he would never do it again.  He said the cold was better then onion juice in the nose.

Normally if I have a cold, I just mail all the money I can find to
