have decided upon second viewing that i really, really like this movie, despite the (occasionally valid) criticisms leveled at it from both the left and the right. go see it, if you haven't already, and let me know what you think!

So who one the contest in your last post? I'm too lazy to count the votes myself.

I like it enough to want to see it again...but probably not enough to buy it. The anal side of my personality comes through when I see water stains on mirrors, facial hair on women, fast food trash in people's cars, and books that have been made into movies with altered characters. I just can't stand it!

I liked it a lot.  I have never (gasp) read the books, but I intend too.  I think for a Disney remake of a great Christian Classic they did a pretty darn good job.  It was so well done that when we got home JM said, "it was two hours long?  It didn't seem that long".  Too me for a two hour kids movie that's pretty good if it can been that good your don't realize you are sitting for that long.  Anyway, I know there were technical errors in the movie, but it seems I am in good company in liking the film.  The critics gave it good reviews at movies.yahoo.com. Plus, because it is allegorical it was very uplifting in a spiritual aspect as well.  You don't get that much out of Hollywood.  So I liked it and I may buy it if it's cheap enough:)  I like movies.
