Warwick, England

Doesn't this just scream "Shakespeare" to you?  It sure does to me.  Actually, before I made the trip to England this is what I thought ALL of their non-modern buildings looked like.  Its wonderfully educating to get to travel.  This was taken in the city of Warwick where we also saw a marvelous old castle.  It was just like a picture out of a text book. . . sort of unreal when you're actually there.  We toured the castle from top to bottom and I found the torture dungeons really disturbing.  It's hard to imagine that one human being could actually inflict those tortures on another person.  I mean, how did they manage to sleep at night after doing some of those things to another human being?

Evidently civilization hasn't outgrown it either. Very sad commentary on humanity. :(  Love the photo, Chris. :heartbeat: Sure hope I get to go there someday.

 :yes:SHAKESPEARE!!! Sure does!

I don't think I would have ventured into the dungeons. I wouldn't have been able to bear the thoughts or sleep that night myself just seeing such things. I can't imagine the warped demonic mind that is capable of such things but Saddam Hussein and his sons obviously could and did.

I sure hope me and Alice both get there one day........sigh :jealous:

Oh I love the Tudor style. I lived in a Tudor house when I was five......maybe that's the attraction. I went back into that house as an adult and it had shrunk! LOL The perspective of a child is quite different. Don't you wish that the innocence of childhood lasted longer?

I took my grandson to Warwick Castle last year, he loved it.

Some men enjoy torturing others I am afraid, they dream about torturing them.

I have been in the Cotswolds today, though no pictures.

The Shakespearean picture is lovely.  I agree with eternal_sojourner; I don't think I could bear to go to the dungeons.
