Pumpkin Pie & Photo by Chris Duffy

THREE DAYS AND COUNTING.   I thought I'd make a pumpkin pie for Michael to eat while I'm gone.  Although he says he doesn't eat sweets, I know differently.  So I've made a coffee cake for him and this pumpkin pie.  That ought to last him while I'm gone. I'm also making a big batch of steak stroganoff tomorrow for supper in the hopes that there will be plenty of left overs for him.  Otherwise I'm afraid he'd subsist on Campbell's Bean with Bacon soup and that just wouldn't be fair to the other folks in his office.

Do you know what you get when you rearrange the letters in: ELEVEN PLUS TWO?  TWELVE PLUS ONE.

 that cracked me up... "not fair to the other people in the office." :giggle: :giggle:
We're getting close. :fun:
I'll leave homemade bread for Warren to eat while I'm gone. That's about the only food he'd miss when I'm not here.

It might not be fair to the other people in the office, but at least he'd be jet-powered.

...great looking pie and I don't even like pumpkin pie. :p Now, Michael would have some competition eating the coffee cake. You, Alice and your Mom, all of you are such great cooks!!! I'm salivating. Is there going to "Candy Making Days" this year???
...woooo, only two more days! MuSe

Hope you and Alice have a wonderful and safe trip.  Looking forward to all the pictures when you return home!!

Got a kick out of the office comment.  Ken and I made bean soup for supper tonight.  He wouldn't let me drain the water from the beans after soaking them.  Said "it takes all the fun out of it"!!  "FUN"--that's a new name for it--lol.

To answer lkhend's question. We almost assuredly will have Candy Days again this year, but haven't set a date yet.  We can only handle one thing at a time and right now it's the "sister trip".
