Allow me to introduce myself . . .

Well, you have to admit I HAVE been gone a LONG time.  But finally the house move is behind us and the office move is now completed as well.  It was a lot of hard work and it makes me tired just to think about it, but I'm to a point now where I can actually start doing OTHER things besides packing, moving and unpacking.  What makes me even happier is that I can find stuff . . I know where it is.

I haven't blogged in such a long time. I'm a little rusty, but here goes...

Two weeks ago I went with my husband on one of his business trips . . to Colorado Springs.  Sometimes when I go to these meetings, I just stay in the hotel room and read my book, but this time several of the other ladies and I decided to go see the Seven Falls.  It's not very far at all from the hotel we were staying at and it was a beautiful clear day, so off we went.

It's quite a hike just to make it up the 224 steps to the top of the falls, but once you reach the top you can then take one of a couple different trails.  Look carefully.  When you click on the picture and then the F11 key, you'll see that those tiny specks  on the stairs are actually people climbing the stairway to the top.

We spent the entire afternoon climbing and hiking and taking pictures. The picture above was at the top of the falls where the hiking trails begin.  It was a hard climb, but it was worth it for the beautiful scenery and a very enjoyable afternoon with two friends.

What a fabulous view we had from the top.  And the air was so clean and thankfully there was a very nice breeze at the top.  All in all, a wonderful day.

That is beautiful.  I haven't been to Colorado since I was 8 years old.  I think its about time I went back!

How relieved you must be to finally be moved both and at home and at work. I'm not sure I'd have the energy for that much work anymore. The pictures are great. I would have loved to be with you that day I'm glad you had a great time.

You know, Alice, I kept having similar thoughts as the three of us ladies were doing the Seven Falls Area . . . I wish Alice was here . . . Alice would sure enjoy this . . . I bet Alice would love to get her camera up here.  But we DO go together on trips at least once a year, don't we!
