Church Yard in Chipping Campden                 Photo and enhancement by Chris Duffy

Let's see, have I told you lately that I really like OLD graveyards?  Yeah, I thought I had.  This one was particularly interesting.  It had the usual randomly placed gravestones in the main yard, and then they had another separate yard with rows and rows of neatly placed gravestones.  In fact, it's the only one like it I've seen in England. That's not to say that it IS the only one, but it is at least the only one we came across.

This was either just before or just after we got rained on for the 4th time that day.  For anyone interested in seeing more England pictures visit "An English Encore", the website my sister Alice made for me to showcase a lot of our pictures of England.

As always I'd recommend you click on these pictures, and then hit the F11 key to see them at the size they were intended to be viewed at.

:spinning:We love those graveyards don't we Christine? :giggle: I wonder why we have such an affinity for them? I did find out when doing some of my genealogy research that I have a lot more English in my family than I originally thought and the English are a little eccentric about death and such things......... none the less, I love your photos! :goodjob:

The enhancement is very interesting. I recently posted a photo on my site that had already been enhanced and one of my readers commented that it didn't look real. Anyway, loving all things artistic, I enjoy the enhancements very much. Thanks for giving us so many beautiful photos to look at. :sunny:

The graveyard with the church in the distance is my kid of picture taking.  Really neat to see.  Keep on writing and posting.  I hate not to see any and all of it.  :sunny:

There is another graveyard like that in Christchurch, outside Newport in South Wales. I used to walk through it to get to school and steal flowers from big graves to put on the ones of children who had tiny graves from centuries ago.
