New update -- We're going to Carson's Live tonight!

Happy birthday to me!
Wah.
Everyone is welcome to join us at Carson's Live this Saturday to celebrate. Be there or be square.

I'm no longer unmployed! Yipee! I'll be working for a doctor in Cleburne and Granbury, in the outskirts of Fort Worth. Yes, I know it's super far, but I've got loans to pay off! So please don't forget about little ol' me in the boonies.

My first day will be July 13, but I'll be moving up in the beginning of July to settle in. Can't wait to visit Ikea to fill up my apartment with goodies.

School's finally over! I'm back in Texas for good, now looking for a job. 4 years flew by. I just found out yesterday that I passed the Part 3 of my Boards and the Texas law exam, so I just have to wait until I receive my license later on next month! If anyone knows of any optometrist openings in the Dallas area, please let me know!

You can see the pics from graduation here:

Waiting for my trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, on July 7th! I tan really easily, so I'm sure I'll come back looking black. Wah!

My, my! Time has flown by. Over 2 months since my last update!

I passed Part 2 of my Board exams (yipee!) and am now at my last externship site (3 more months left of school!) I'll be moving back to Texas after my graduation in the end of May. I finally got myself my very FIRST long-overdue digicam that I'd been looking to buy for years now... the Canon SD450. It's so pretty!

Life has been good, I'm looking forward to the next few months while I move onto the next chapter of my life... joining the work force! It's becoming more and more real everyday.

Dallas people--I'm coming to Fort Worth next weekend, March 2-5. Let's play!

Part 2 of the Board exams are over!! My days had been consumed with studying for that thing for the past month, and now it's great to finally have my life back! It's weird to have time to myself after clinic and on the weekends now, I don't even know what to do with with myself!

You won't believe this -- Grey's Anatomy actually helped me with one of the questions! The question was asked what the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) was a measurement of, which is neurological function. The only way I knew the answer was because they used it on the show, and I like to check their website, which explains all the medical cases in more detail.

It's hitting me that time is flying by so fast. 5 more months until graduation. 5 months until I have to join the adults in the working world. 5 months until I move outta this joint. Ahhh!!

What keeps me going is the upcoming vacation plans I got: back home to Temple in Jan, Fort Worth in March (paid for by Alcon, a optometric pharmaceutical company), and California in April. Vegas in June for the annual optometry convention, and possibly a trip to the Bahamas or Puerto Rico in the making for May.
