Seems like I am Always on the Run these days: Work, School, and Running
I'm averaging 25-30 miles a week. It is going pretty well, not as fast as I want, but not to bad, I need to put together a good race plan in the next couple of days. I am pretty sure I will break 2 hours, but I wanted to break 1:50, not sure about that.
Got the Garmin back last week. I really missed it. I have intervals tomorrow and that is when I really need it.
On my long run Sunday (11.5 miles), my knee came down sore. I am icing it and will run in my knee brace between now and the race. It did okay on yesterday's run.
Did anybody get to watch the Boston or the Olympic trials Marathons? I wish I could have. I recorded the trials audio and listened to it last night. Go Deena!!!
If you made it this far, thanks for sticking with me!
Have a Great Day!!
Keep Pressin' On!!

25 - 30 miles!! You are kicking BUTT!! Which race are you doing? My ultimate goal is to do a half in under two hours. Training for Chicago cranks up next week. I'm doing Chicago in Sept. and then San Antonio in Novebmer. Until then I'll be running in the Godforsaken heat and humidity here.
dang! that's a lot of runnin for you! Good job! Are you training for the Indy?
25-30 miles...wow , that is GREAT! I'm psyched if I get in 30 miles (and I'm at the peak of marathon training right now!). haha!
I watched the Olympic Trails on Sunday. It was so exciting to watch Deena slowing creep up and then win it! It was also great to see Joan Benoit finish (she's a Mainer.....so we were all pushing for her to break the record in her age group!). They are all so amazing!
RYC- I'm just worried about Tad's lifestyle... he doesn't know his medical history since he was adopted. All he knows is that his biological grandfather died at 39 of a heart attack. So it worries me to see him eat the way he does... and gain the way he does. I'm still attracted to him! It would be awesome if he would pick up running!
Glad to see you got your Garmin back. No, I haven't gotten an extra cradle for mine yet. It turns out Garmin does NOT have a store on location, contrary to what the local running store had inidicated. But I can get one from the local bike store for $13, so that's pretty cool. Just gotta get a round to it. Meanwhile, Murphy's law will ensure that it will run out of juice on the most important bike/run sessions!
You can order it directly from Garmin, but its almost twice as expensive as the local bike shop, about $25.
Do you have IT band problems? That's always my issue. I talked to Joe Henderson about it and he says it probably has to do with the way the make shoes nowadays, since it's happening to everyone.
Good luck in your race!!! Thanks for the encouragement on my training! My next race is a half marathon on May 10th and then a full marathon on May 25th!! I think I'm officially a running addict! haha!!
Never got to see those marathons, but I did get to see the World Cross Country Championships in Scotland! You should come back! write a bit more and such: that's what I'm trying to do right now is get back into it.
