| One more thing... and one more... and....LOL I just remembered one more thing I wanted to say:
Two days ago it was official. In response to all of Daddy's coaching
since the first time he held Xander...... Xander finally said
Da-Da!!! And he did it several times over too.
Dada said "Say Dada Xander, say Dada." And Xander replied "Dah duh!"
with an enthusiactic giggle following. Of course, we made such a
huge deal over him finally saying it that he got totally into it "Dah
duh duh dah dah uh duh plffthhht!" The "plffthhht" now being one
of his favorite sounds, followed closely by the "look how much noise I
can make" playful shriek. I guess thats what I get for laughing
every time he does something outrageous.

| TeethDaddy and I can now see little teeth shaped bumps under Xander's top front gums... they're coming!
In other news, I finally got some of the outgrown (but still in very nice condition) baby clothes
onto ebay. I say some, because I got sick and tired of taking
pictures and writing up listings.... I think I'm just going to try
selling the rest at a yard sale. I've never held one myself, just
watched the till for 10-20 minutes when I was younger so that the
adults could get a drink and go inside for a bit, so this should be
interesting. Wish me luck! What doesnt sell will mean several
more hours of picture taking and listing write-ups... ugh! By the
way... you have any friends who are in the market for some baby
clothes, send them to that link above. I really need to get rid of this
stuff

| So I kept you in suspense....First word was Pooh, by the way. Yes, as in Winnie THE Pooh
:) He has two Pooh Bears and loves them very much. Of
course, I don't know if this counted as a word since it couldve just
been a nonsense baby sound. But cute nonetheless.
Bananas: From the first bite he was hooked. What 3 month old do
you know takes the spoon out of your hands to feed it to himself?
Weird position: Lying with his belly against mine, straight up and
down..... Uncomfortable way to nurse him to say the least, but he gets
cranky lying on his back and flips over

| oh yes... also need to remind myself to write about xander's weird new preference for nursing and sleeping position

| Haven't written in a long time. For a while it seemed like there
was nothing to write about... just Xander and I getting used to
eachother and falling into some kind of routine. Something like
eat, play, sleep, poop, rinse, repeat LOL In the past week Xander
has done so many funny, interesting, and amazing things that I don't
know where to begin.
Our morning breakfast routine involves Xander waking me up, me feeding
him, then him sitting next to me at the table in his stroller while I
hope that he stays entertained long enough for me to scarf down some
food. Several days ago, this particular monring I was having more
making him smile than I was eating. I picked up his phone-shaped
rattle and shook it for him, whic usually gets his attention.
However, he was too busy chewing on his Classic Pooh bear to
notice. We have been practicing grabbing objects and holding
them, and I decided that I wasn't going to give up this morning until
he had grabbed it at least once with each hand. I took Pooh away
and set him on the stroller tray. Xander's smile turned into an
intensely studious look, as he watched me shake the rattle twice in his
direction. He took it from me, with his right hand as
usual. He shook it twice and then put it down (not dropped mind
you, but deliberately put it down.) I tried again, this time
aiming to get him to take it with his left. He did... held it for
about thirty seconds, and put it down again, then immeadiately lunged
forward (he can't quite sit up on his own yet), hands outstreched, chin
thrust forward and eyes bright... reaching for Pooh bear. Of
course he couldn't reach him and sat back down. So I handed
Pooh to him and his little eyes lit up instantly, a huge grin spreading
across his cherub face :) My opinionated little man is making his
preferences known! Yay! I think.....
Well, I don't want to make this entry too long so I am just going to
jot down a few notes to myself about what else I wanted to write about
and I will come back later to finish this up.
1-mimicking our speech pattern when Daddy tried to make him say dada
2-eating bananas
3-first word on March 5th... you'll have to check back to see what it was! so there! hehe
4-teething pains? or just a moody boy?
