I try to control my thoughts, and at this point it's nearly impossible. Although I think with practice it will not only become possible, but easy. Why would I want to control my thoughts? Because a lot of times I find myself overwhelmed, because I have so much going on in my head. So, when I start to become overwhelmed I slowly put all of my thoughts away as if they have their own drawers. And it works sometimes, but a key word can "open" an entire "file drawer" which is good and bad. Either way, it's just going to take practice.
Another thing I was thinking about today, is how the way I think has changed. I used to think only in words. Now, I think in both pictures and words. It seems faster to think in pictures, because I can put a whole stream of pictures together quickly, but when it comes to thinking in words, it seems to take longer.
How do you think? In pictures? Words? Or both?

I think with my voice. I speak aloud and in my mind (hahaha, I sound like a kook!) I'm an auditory learner so if I hear myself then I can probably retain it easier. It's really strange. It must've been because of all the years in music...Who would've thought!
@xdarlene - hahaha. I guess I should have added speech in there. It just never occurred to my that some people think with their voice
either you control yer thoughts FIRST, or else bad things will happen
i think in both. and yes, over the years i have learned to control my thoughts, and naturally, your thoughts progress differently as you get older. it's called growing up. haha.
