At first I was thinking exactly the same thing as your friend above...... but you know it becomes my natural instinct now to do research and get the answer for everything...... so I checked the dictionary for you:

Aggressive = tending toward unprovoked offensives, attacks, invasions, or the like and making an all-out effort to win or succeed

Ambitious = eagerly desirous of achieving or obtaining success, power, wealth or a specific goal

I do agree that you are not agressive in the sense that you won't obtain your success at other people's expense....... You are eager to achieve your goals but you won't do that by all means...... So that's the most I can do to justify what you have said!~ Haha!~

And for the friend above, I am by no means being offensive...... I am just mo liu!~
