Teething: No Fun Then, No Fun Now!

My eldest daughter, Far_Skies, cut her first teeth at 2 months old. I knew at the time something was up. Even though she was a fussy baby anyway (I mean REALLY fussy), she was even more fussy than usual. Imagine my surprise while breastfeeding to find out that my baby was getting teeth already at two months old! It was a bottle from there on out!
So last night she comes to me, still a fussy thing, but more fussy than usual, and tells me she has a wisdom tooth coming in. Not only that, but it's extremely painful. Knowing her to be super sensitive to pain at times I almost dismissed it as typical theatrics, but I decided to take a look. I'm glad I did because it looks like she could have an abscess. We're waiting for the dental office to give us a call back...she's got to get in today because neither one of us can live this way! We'll let you know how things go...
Abscessed Update #1 - The dentist has a 4 page waiting list and suggested I call an oral surgeon. I know the abscess will need to be dealt with before anything else can happen...I'm calling around. Can we just cancel today altogether, please?

Bless her heart. Oh boy, I can related. That's about where I am right now. I"ve got an abcess and nothing I can do about it. Until Monday, at which time I will make the appointment to get my teeth pulled and get my dentures.I hate losing my teeth but I have lousy ones. It's a family trait. And I'm tired of bleeding gums, abcesses, sensitive teeth, cativities ad infinitum, and pulling them one at a time. The dentist says that the periodontal disease is too advance and my only hope is yank. So...yank I shall. And I'll be far better off, I know. Not suggesting for your daughter, however.
:buried treasure:
My last tooth went when I was 30 something, before a very long trip in places without dentists. The doctor said it wasn't a wise decision, it was self mutulation. He was wrong, it was the smartest thing I ever did: no more teeth that hurt, no abcesses, no...
I must not have my day: lust at 34%! I am 43% normal, but I knew I would end below 50.
RYC: No skiing, I just walked around in the snow a bit :winking:
Why is so hard to get into a dentist! Argh!
May I ask you a xanga question? How do you get your text to wrap around your images? I can't figure it out with the new editor.
I'm 70% normal (whodathunk?), but I was only 41% lustful.
I've got to study and see if I can take that test again. Will they let you do that?:nailbiting:
Your daughter is beautiful. I'm sorry she's in pain. :worried:
ryc: that one word was the whole reason I constructed my whole post to begin with, so I'm glad you liked it!:whew:
Awwwww...poor daughter. And what a beauty she is!
Glad you are extending the challenge..now I have a chance to do it also, hehe. Thanks, luv':thumbs up:
Hope your day went okay, besides the dentist crap.
*hugs*
What a pretty girl! sorry she is having trouble, got some wisdom tooth horror stories but probably NOT a good time to share them.
Fall is the bestest time to hike.
My mom use to say that about me. She thought I was a big baby about pain. After being in the room with me when I gave birth to my first child she said... Oh my goodness I'm so proud of you. If I'd of been standing outside your door I would not have heard a sound. I tell her..... SEEEEEEEEE when I say I'm in PAIN I'm in PAIN!!
So cut your girlie some slack..... we all have different levels of pain tolerance.... doesn't make ones pain more than another! LOL (I'm sure you really cut her slack... just makin a statement :P)
*HUGZ*
OW! I feel for you and your daughter.
