The Money-Maker Recipe: Part III Review

Must love Chong, such a loving and kind husband. His honesty pays off after all, so cool. Good that he and Yu Ju didn't just reconcile in those typical ways but instead in one of those wackiest scenes. Must credit script-writer for that part. They just dive into it and manage to join forces to fight off the evil Ding Siu Ging.

Great that things aren't so intense anymore 'cauese neighbors are finally reuniting to fight off Ding Siu Ging together now. Plus Yu Bo finally knows the truth behind her jerky husband's schemes. She's also starting fresh over as an understanding sister, not to mention with Yuk Lun also. They're such a hilarious couple.

While Szeto Hiu Sum is falling into Ding Siu Ging's ever so cunning paws, her father - Szeto Luen Fai - is pushing forth his full evilness to scheme against Wing Shan for the rights of raising his grandson. Although things are getting hectic towards that front, but it has pull everyone together as neighbors again, especially seeing the almost invisible gap between Siu Tim and Wing Shan. Hopefully all things can be discovered soon so the evil Ding Siu Ging and Szeto Luen Fai will get what they deserve.

Still disappointed at Janet for not letting go of the her loyalty towards Ding Siu Ging yet. However, hope that she can see the light soon and join forces with Ju Yu and the others when she discovers the real motive behind Ding Siu Ging's schemes to get closer to Szeto Hiu Sum.

Several more episodes and it's over. Let's see who the final winners are. And hopefully it won't be a disappointment.

The Money-Maker Recipe: Part II Review

Things are starting to get intense throughout the neighborhood as well as for Yu Ju and Chong. Hopefully they'll find a good way to reconcile without making it too cheesy. On the other hand, Szeto Luen Fai is such an old fox, but for some odd reason likes the honest Chong. Can't blame him since it's to find an honest employee nowadays. Starting to like Janet more and more since she's not only clever but witty on her remarks of Szeto Hiu Sum. But trouble maybe in paradise for her since Hiu Sam is such a brat and will get back at her at every chance.

Great chemistry forming between Tim and Shan, so cute taking care of the kids together and the father gets along so well with the little kid.

What else? Poor Chu Yuk Lun always getting misunderstood as always. Hopefully Yu Bo will catch her husband sneaking around one day and cry a river since she didn't listen to Yu Ju or Yuk Lun about the whole situation. Although Ho Miu Bun might be a tad wish-washy at times but still love her with Yu Ju and Yuk Lun and their sneaking around adventure.

What's frustrating about the whole thing is everyone seems to trust that Ding Siu Ging very much and doesn't believe Chong about that dude's up to something. Only Janet knows. But hope he will be expose soon and NOT at the last episode.

The neighbors are quite annoying at this time but hopefully it will lit up soon.

The Money-Maker Recipe: Part I Review

Very entertaining and hilarious so far. Haven't watch Kiki Sheung for a while and she'sjust awesome. She seems to be more awesome in recent years since she didn't do that well when she was younger. But now she's so natural and managed to deliver her role with charm. Michael Tse ? Haven't seen him since World Twister's Adventure but really nice to see him again in  a totally different role. Very funny and all. Odd couple but still funny to death, considering how their roles are and all. Joyce Tang - too bad with the bad dude, but then again - always glad to see her in different roles. Angela Tong as Kiki's sister in here is a bit wishy-washy, will see what's up later.

Great to see Rain Lau as part of the main people 'cause she gets to splice up the drama a bit too with her busybody nature also. Not bad at all.

What's even more funny is Savio Tsang a bit crazy in here. Poor guy always getting misunderstood by others to be a pervert. Will he end up with Angela later? Doesn't matter since it's just hilarious if they do. But great to see that he's playing a bland character as often seen lately. Looking forward to see what else happens to him.

It looks like Ellesmere Choi and Toby Leung are going to end up together later - but not quite sure. Still hilarious to see them argue senselessly though.

Law Lok Lam? Semi-antagonist role. But still great to see him portray yet another type of role for this. It's sort of exaggerated to see him surrounded by all those girls, but still NOT that crazy - YET. Have to see more to decide.

What's even more funny? Kenneth Ma as a guest star in here! So funny when he was standing up to ask questions, lol. Didn't realize that he's in here - even just for a bit. Maybe mocking his Survivor's Law role? *shrugs*

Still looking forward for more to see what's up. Glad that there are lots of veteran actors in here and are my favorite too.

Steps: Part III Review

Just finished the series itself and must say that although it's a very nice series in general, but quite disappointed with a certain part. Again, I should have known and shouldn't have expected so much, but can't believe they let Victoria end up with Dat in the end. Yes, he's a nice guy and all, but can't they just stay as best friends? She rejected him once and now since Dickson's not around anymore, she's back to Dat? I know it's not like that and Dat had helped her and been there with her through thick and thin, but it's somewhat unfair for him 'cause it's like settling for him since she doesn't have anymore choice. The fact that Anita succeeded in playing the pity card made me even more mad. It's not like Dickson had force her into those actions when they were younger. They fell in love ages ago and she also made a choice to be with him and also made a choice to quit her dancing. It's not like he brain-washed her or manipulated the situation to make her life worse. Whether those choices were good or not, she still made them. But it was made to sound like he owe her. He owes her nothing. Yes, separating a family and destroying the little girl's family is a sad thing, but it's very sucky that they have to make things turn out that way. Why coulnd't Anita have been more independent and also make the little girl understand more that her mom and dad are now separated but still loves her. It's dumb to separate two people who loves each other to go with responsibility because of guilt. Dumb plot. But very touching scenes between Dickson and Victoria with their parting scenes and their last dance. It ruined the story by making her end up with Dat - as I said already. It's like TVB needs to gift-wrap so they make it all nice at the end. On a lighter note, Kate did improve surprisingly. She did bring out her character really well regarding her smart and professional side, plus her vulnerable side as well. Really starting to like Matthew Ko also since really see his acting potential. He is able to portray his cute personal as well as the last few scenes of a responsible father. I'm a tad disappointed of Stephen Wong Ka Lok as Dat since he seems to be doing alright in Love Bond and all, but how he seems to lack something in here? Couldn't really see his difference or wasn't impress in the most touching scene of him either. I got confused with what he's trying to do. It's like he didn't improve or something.

Another thing that made me not satisfied about this series is not exposing Judy. She was the manipulative hand behind many scenes in helping that one dude to embezzle the company's money but she was never expose although she did get what she derserve in the end. Since TVB love gift-wrapping so much, why didn't they make that happen? Lame! Caring too much of one thing but not another.

Luckily, Tsun and Keung re-united as best friends again at the end, plus Tsun and Sum Ying are awesome together. They're a really great bickering couple as well as supporting each other in the end. The dance at the competition was very touching.

I also like Sum Ying and Victoria's friendship. It's very nice to see something that actually looks like true friendship in here. They can talk about everything and could support each other through different things. A very great scene between them is Victoria confronting Sum Ying to tell Tsun about her eye conditions, but Victoria ended up keeping the secret for Sum Ying instead.

Fala Chen as Ka Man is just amazing. Yes, her acting is really up to it since she's only in a few series but isn't raw like some new ones. She managed to show her menacing side but also her somewhat vulnerable side also. Her past is a great obstacle to get past but glad that in the end, she knows when to stop and didn't listen to Amanda to play dirty tricks on Sum Ying 'cause she could see that Sum Ying isn't feeling well. In a way, her going to jail isn't a bad thing since she learnt to take on responsibility and face the consequences bravely. Plus starting over.

Stephen Huynh - Unlike Stephen Wong, I could his acting a lot better since he managed to play out each role really well. Been in quite a few series but isn't disappointing at all. He knows what he's doing and could bring out his character.

Wayne Lai & Claire Yiu's chemistry isn't all that - like him with Halina Tam better, but still not bad at all. Like their little story. A bit funny at first and later more serious.

A very nice series overall, except a few things were still unknown and others are too gift-wrapped that made me feel kind of mad.
