Finally, back to the shop for Dup! Last 2 days I've been working at the
shop but 7 of the previous 10 weekdays Dup was at the wonderful world
known as Disneyland. I was sculpting props for the re-opening of the Pirates Of The Carribeanride.
We've been adding elements of the 2 movies to it and they're
gonna re-open it when the sequel opens, Mr. Depp is gonna be there but
his cohorts said he can only stay for 15 minutes. He was there a few
weeks ago placing the 3 new animatronics of his Jack Sparrow characther
into the ride. Also, Dup was
sculpting things, onsite, for the Finding Nemo
ride that we're building, to open in 2007. I also learned what making a
deadline is
like. We had to have our work finished by Saturday, so this past week
another sculptor and myself rushed to get work done, working 10 hour
days. On Friday we planned on working a 4 hour day cause we had
everything pretty much finished, many mishaps turned a 4 hour day into
a 12 hour day. Started work at Disney at 5:30 in the morn and got home
at 7:30 in the evening. Fun times! Looking forward to go back to
Disneyland to enjoy the place and to see my props in action, rather
than working there...

Got this for my mother for Mother's Day. Thought it'd be different than
the usual flowers. Plus I am half Asian and she did give Dave fortune
cookies when he was at my house once, think she handed them to him and
said, "You people eat these, right?" So, I'm returning the favor to her
in a much bigger fashion...
Also, last night Dup had a "Pedro" moment. My head got so hot that I shaved off all of my hair. Vote for Dup!!!

Currently listening to Mushroomhead because one of my older co-workers
grew-up with the lead singer, was best friends with him and still does
some of their make-ups, and works on some of their and as well as other
musician's videos.
Couldn't sleep much last night. Usually don't sleep much on Sunday
nights anyhow cause my sleep patterns get screwed up over the weekend.
Instead I spend most of the night rolling around in bed while in my
deep thoughts. One thought that crossed my mind last night was the fact
that this Easter will mark the 1st Easter, in which I can remember,
that I won't be coloring Easter Eggs. I've colored Easter Eggs for as
long as I can remember. Besides my father, I'm the only other person in
my family who still sits down with my mother every year and adds
artistic beauty to boiled eggs. We usually then have a neutral person
vote on the best looking eggs, without knowing who colored what eggs.
And of course I win most of the time. Guess that's why I was an art
major. Anyhow, if anyone back home still colors Easter Eggs, color an
extra one for me this year...

| Well it looks as if Dup'll be staying out here in Cali for a bit
longer. After months of searching and months of headaches, I finally
found something. Gonna work for Scenario Design Inc.
They supply sets, props, and special effects to the entertainment
industry and they do Themed Entertainment Projects. Right now they're
building a new Pirates of the Carribean ride for Disneyland and
re-doing The Haunted Mansion ride. They're also re-doing the In-N-Out
logos, so I might be sculpting 10' x 12' giant In-N-Out burgers on
Monday. They do most of all the Disney themed rides. So down the road
from now they might send me on location to Disney-Tokyo or Disney-Paris
to work. Also, they work in most of the Vegas casinos, but whatever
look at the website for all they do. Me, I'm gonna be a sculptor but
the head of the sculpting dept. told me to bring my portfolio in to
show to the head of the paint dept. so I can work there to. But eventually I
wanna be the one to design the projects rather than sculpting and
painting someone else's designs. For now I'm pretty much guaranteed
work for 6 months, cause in the industry you work when you have the
work to do. But by 6 months they should have more work for me, plus I
plan on making it hard for them to let me go. Well anyway, it's a start
for Dup...NICE!!!

| What's wrong with my mind? Sometimes I fell fine but then there's this
nagging pain still inside. How can I get by, when all of my time is
spent on what I fail to do...
