Where have I been?..
I haven't posted in quite a while. This much is obvious. But this does not mean that I didn't want to post. I've simply been too busy lately. Busy with work, friends, LotRO, and sleeping at strange times. Hopefully I'll be able to rectify that last problem this week - maybe even tomorrow.
Work is going well. I have another review coming up in a week, and I hope to find that I'm still impressing people. [Un]fortunately, I'm starting to feel comfortable there, and am therefore starting to surf the Internet a bit more during down time instead of looking for other things to do. I hope this isn't a problem, and if it is, I hope to be able to fix it quickly.
This past weekend was crazy. Thursday night I hung out Brandon, Drew, and Jonathan until 7 a.m. [wow!]. We talked / argued about politics, mission trips, and movies. It was fun. Of course, for the majority of the time the sides were divided as everyone vs. Jonathan. Good times, good times. Friday I slept for most of the day, and then declined going to Oxford because I was absolutely convinced that it was Saturday. I realized I was wrong just in time to drive down there and see the fireworks. I had no idea that there were fireworks in Oxford, and I was thoroughly impressed with them.
Yesterday I spent most of the day with Justin looking at houses. The two that I liked the most are
this one* andthis one*. I'm not ready to buy a house just yet because A] I don't know how much I can afford, and B] I don't know anyone who could be my roommate just yet. Drew will probably move in with me eventually, and Justin may do it too [speculatively... don't quote me on that], but no one's ready yet. But yeah, I can't wait to get out of here.Well, i should cut this short. I slept until 4:00 p.m. today, and that's not a good thing to do on a work day. Hopefully I'll be asleep within an hour. Less than 5 hours of sleep leads to a groggy day :-\
*EDIT: Apparently those were temporarily links. Oh well, sorry for the confusion. One house is in the newer neighborhood between Hwy 51 and the old Southaven High School [Jessica's neighborhood], but needs a little work. The other is in South-East Magnolia [near Hacks Cross] in Olive Branch and needs only a little paint and maybe some new carpet - though I think the carpet can wait.
