  • Good 'Warm, Muggy' Morning!!

Things have changed in our family.  Brandie started school!!  It is so hard to believe that she is old enough for that!!  Want to guess what I had been working on????

I saw her scanning through the classifieds the other day....

This makes me think of the old saying.  "Monkey see, monkey do!"   **Uh-hem, no offense to anyone!!!

When her daddy looks at the paper, he will put up the foot rest of the chair/sofa and spread the paper out...... Looks like the dog got bored of it all...whatever is out the door looks more interesting.

As a way of 'reaching out', our church has a 'Bible Club' on the third sunday afternoon of each month.  We ordered flannel graph material.  All of the figures, shapes etc. have to be cut out.  I was working at that the other day when Sheila and Brandie stopped in for a little.  Did she ever have fun for a few short minutes!!  The stories she could tell with the pieces that I had already cut!!

I was cutting and thinking of how pretty they were, cutting along and found this printed on the flannel.....

"COPYRIGHT 1966"!!!    Now I know why they are so pretty!!!! They don't make things like they used to!

Must run.....mowing needs to be done!  Yes, I am going to check the mower over real good !!!!!!!!

     Good day to all!!!!

  • PRAISE THE LORD WITH US.....

IT IS RAINING!!!!!   I am sure that ground is singing this morning.  It started raining late last eve, off and on all night.  Sheila just called, said she walked out through her yard earlier this morning and the grass sounded happy!  It said squish, squish when she walked in it.  --Guess I'm not the only one that 'thinks' like that!!    Hope everyong has a Blessed Day!!     Later

  • There Is No Place Like HOME!!!

Howdy from GA!!!!!  We had a great time, but is was great to get home again!!  --Even the dogs were glad to see us!!  ( What a comforting feeling!! )   We left Fri. morning...our car had 'started drinking'  --oil and water to be exact...we stopped in W'boro and swapped vehicles. We had been 'watching' and 'looking' at one for awhile....We left on a trip and none of our children knew what vehicle we were in!!!!! We did tell them about it before we got home..even sent them a picture of it!!!! Wish I had a better pic. of it ---oh well  You get the idea!!

We finally got left just before noon, heading for my folks in Va. Spent the night there, Sat. morn. left for Grantsville Md. for a reunion on Steve's Dad's side of the family.  Met new people and reconnected with ones we hadn't seen for a while. After the reunion we went and found the graves of Steve's Grandparents...

Then headed east through some beautiful country..

part of the way on a state highway, instead of interstate.

I was watching for old barns...here are a few...

They had just had a 'mini' flood in the one area...see all the water in the second pic???  We wished we could take some of that along home with us...it is sooo dry here...

We spent from Sun. afternoon until Mon.noon with some real good friends in the Gettysburg/Hanover, Pa. area. What a good time we had!!!

Monday morning they took us to Mason-Dixon Farm for a tour....WOW!!!  Anyone remotely interested in farming or dairying,  if you are in that area...you NEED to go!!!  The farm has stayed in the original family....

This dairy barn has 10 robotic milkers.....it is unreal!!!!100_2681

VERY interesting!!!!  Intelligent me didn't think about the camera in my purse until we were pretty well finished with the tour...guess I must have been too 'slack jawed' to think straight.....

We left Nate's around noon on Monday, heading for Greenwood, De. Visited with some folks on my side of the the family...here again my camera was in my purse!!  I did get a couple.....

    Time was entirely too short!!!!

Then Tues. we headed north to see the newest addition to Our Yoder family.

The baby and his proud sisters.

That eve. we got the last motel of our trip.....the next morning headed back to Va.

    100_2703

Wouldn't that have been a fun side trip?????    We spent some time with Dad and Mom.  The morning we were to leave, we went up to the kitchen for breakfast....--???? Change in the menu... My dear parents were busy making our traditional 'Birthday Breakfast'   They had the table all set with the china.....real pretty!!

We always had pancakes with a candle in it for our birthday breakfast.  This time it was a waffle.

THANKS to the greatest parents in the world!!  I love you dearly!!!

    That was soo special!!!

A little while later we were on the road headed south!!  We had a wonderful time and we thank the Lord for a safe trip,       but.....
