Well tonight is the night that all the "stars"...TV,movies and singers pay their respects in their own ways by having a benefit . Considering I don't have much of a life as far as doin the whole goin out and partying thing...you know I'll be watchin.
President Bush spoke last night...Im sure most of you watched. I must say he's started to NOT read every word he says,which in a sense makes me feel better BUT...and let me know how you feel about this...all he seems to be doing is repeating everything we already have heard. I myself dont want to hear idle threats and ultimatums. I want to hear things like: We have a handle on chemical/biological warfare! We have our water supplies under strict guard! Do NOT be worried about these things! Has anyone said this?? NOOOO. I don't need to hear you threatening the countries that harbor terrorists.. I need to hear you say that things are under way!! I don't need to know every military move you plan on...JUST DO THEM!! Its like they want Bin_Laden and the Talliban to know our moves. I don't know but I can use less words and more actions. I personally think we are in a lose lose situation here. My first reaction was to blow them off the map!! Now Im feeling like we are screwed either way and as soon as we do make our moves something horrific is going to happen here AGAIN. Hell I dont have any answers,so I still have faith and support our leaders but DAM..it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that some major shit is gonna go down here in the U.S. Locally gas masks have been flying off the shelves(and if I could afford it Id be right there with em).The subject of "racial profiling" has come to be a serious issue. Locally we have had alot of civil rights activists saying that there SHOULD be racial profling. One of the things that they themselves criticized when they were the ones going thru it. I agree to a certain extent. I mean as far as travel and suspiscion...it's somethng that undoubtedly HAS to be done. Im sorry for all those of arab desent that may be hurt by this but lets have a reality check here. This doesnt mean that people who LOOK arab should be harrassed for no reason at all...Im just saying as far as suspiscion goes it should be checked into(at least as far as travel and major institutions).I myself have started to think of some things to have in the event something else catastrophic happens:
bottled water(at least 1 gallon per person per day)Batteries,a hand held radio,canned food,an old fashioned can opener and a flashlight....if you can think of some others feel free to add them
On to the lighter side of things....tomorrow is Tweetz's birthday,so if you know her go give her some love
