I looked it up, and apparently the reason the dairy products in France are better is due to the fact that they don't pasteurize like we do, despite having named a Metro stop "Pasteur." I guess thatwhen you grow up only knowing one thing to be normal - like having no foreskin or only drinking freeze-dried milk - you just never realize what you're missing out on, until one day you have some really good Camembert, or sleep with an Englishman, and you think, "Hey! This tastes pretty good!" Or something like that.
Today I'm posting some pretty pictures I took last week in Giverny, where Monet made all those smeary pictures of waterlillies. It was a lovely day and the flowers were pretty, so I'll just post them so you can see the pretty colors:
