A Whiter Shade Of Pale

The below song clip tip came in from my very newest subscriber, lookinfortime - (at least, I think I've got the correct newest subscriber).  He sent me an e-mail saying he'd subscribed, but he didn't say under what name, so if I have picked the right guy, it's the guy who I've only just now (in real life) found out he has the same last name as a certain very famous, very popular former White House Correspondent.   Is that you, lookinfortime?

Not knowing someone's last name isn't unusual for me, though - on occasion I've known people for years - even lived with a few of them, and never known their last name until waaaay later than you'd expect.  It's because rather than doing that "Hi, what's your name? What do you do? How many brothers and sisters do you have?" stuff that you're supposed to do when you meet someone, I usually start off with something totally different and useless, like "Have you been to StarAndAl.com?  Did you notice how Star's headshot makes her head look like a football because they've airbrushed off all her chins, totally ruining the proportions?"

I mean, it's a much more fun conversation to have, but leaves me without all that personal info that you're supposed to know about people.

Here's a funny story - I had a roommate whose name was "Pixie" - except that was her "club" name - she actually had some other name at the strip club she worked at  - the club was called "Wiggles"- klassy, right? -  and then months later I found out her real name: Annie Hall.  Isn't that hilarious?  Her parents named her something that sounds fake to begin with!

Although I suppose it's very fair for me to comment on someone's last name, since, in real life, I have the same last name as a certain very famous, very popular circus clown hamburger salesman.  Seriously.  (Don't you love these obtuse hints?  I wonder if anyone gets them...)

Anyway, this song is lovely, touching, soulful, and has a wonderful message we can all appreciate: Jonathan Coulton sings 'Baby Got Back'.

That is all.

I have to say, I did not know that about pixie.  Whatever became of her?  You know, Collin is now working at a lovely little bistro on Hudson Street.

It is me. However, I must point out that the very famous WHC you mentioned used my last name as a pseudonym and I am not related to him in any way. Furthermore, I don't sell my body online, at least not literally.

Holy shit. I totally figured out your last name. The world is now my oyster. Even though I already knew your last name.

RYC: You've been added to the list.

Hmmm...I think I know your last name now.  Unless there is another hamburger salesman clown I don't know of.

I tried to look at their wedding photo album for more football head examples, but you have to enter your freaking email address. Why? So I can get anniversary notices?
