Happy Birthday Mad Scientist!
He turns 14 today and will graduate from 8th grade in a couple weeks. He was voted "Most Likely to Take Over the World" in the yearbook. I hope that's a compliment, LOL! Actually, I think it's pretty cool. I was never voted anything for the yearbook--maybe I got "Sweetest Smile" or something equally insipid at the Girl Scout Camp weekend, but never anything in the year book.

I had exactly the same two reactions as ST, lol! And I just read the entry about the paint chip colors - there was an artist/poet person I read about awhile ago who did word/picture art with those chips and the wacky names on them. I agree - it's all just a degree of perception between Tawny Bamboo and Dog Doo.

I absolutely love looking at blogs of people who have older children! It fills me with a sense of wonder and hope for the future. It also makes me want to enjoy the time with my kids while they are so little even more! Thanks for posting this!
