Last night I skipped class so that we could go to International Night at Drama Queen's school. Everyone is supposed to bring a dish that reflects their national heritage, which, down here, means a lot of macaroni and cheese. We aren't a bit French, but Drama Queen is in the French class and had her heart set on bringing profiteroles. Her teacher gave her a recipe, and luckily for us, I tried it out before she got home from school. Disaster! Imagine trying to make something resembling cream puffs from what appears to be pancake batter, and you can imagine my difficulties. There was, however, no turning back, since profiteroles were the only thing we had ingredients for. I did a little research and discovered that they are a dish for which method counts far more than ingredients. We threw out the first batch and tried again, and this is what we ended up with.
Our profiteroles were gobbled up by the crowd pretty much before anything else.
Has anyone else been playing around with xanga themes? It seems that visiters to my site now see my beta homepage--whatever that means. I did dabble with arranging my modules. I had fun browsing the pre-designed themes and have been tempted to save one for my site, but at the same time, I'd rather design one myself. I'm not clever at this sort of thing, but it would be fun to figure it out.
