  • Myspace

Yes, I have a Myspace page. It has helped me keep in touch with some people I haven't seen in years and I look through my friends every once and awhile to see what is going on in their life. I really rarely use it and I have thought of shutting it down, but I keep it up just in case someone wants to get in touch with me.

Since I was bored today, I clicked on my high school link and it took me to the alumni page where I  stalked glanced through some people I attended school with. I must say that I'm pretty disappointed with some of these people. For many of you that don't know, I attended Christian School all throughout my education and while many of my fellow classmates are Christians, there were quite a few who weren't. I was hoping that after nearly 10 years (10 years, gah!) of life would cause these people to grow up, but sadly, it didn't.

I know I'm not perfect, nor do I pretend to be (OK, maybe in my mind I pretend to be perfect) but it makes me sad to see that not many of them have changed or some of the students that really acted like good Christian kids are now partying like it's 1999. I'm not trying to be judgmental, but when I do look at myself  and see a someone mature (sometimes) woman  who has a great marriage and a stable life and compare to to someone who still acts like it's high school it makes me sad. It makes me sad because back in high school, they seemed to have everything together and had a promising future, and now they are wasting it. It's also sad because in some way, some of these people haven't changed at all.

All I can say is that you can bet I won't ever go to a high school reunion (if there ever is one). I didn't really like most of these people back in high school and looking at how they are now, I probably wouldn't care for them much now.

  • Time Flies!

I can't believe how time flies! Things have been so busy I've hardly had time to breathe, much less blog! Now that I am caught up at work (seriously, my desk is clear and there is nothing in my in box) I have some time to blog. I realized that I have a months worth of pictures in my camera, so I'm going to have to upload them soon and do a "month in review" here. Not that we did anything too exciting, but I did make a fabulous Easter dinner that I'm kind of proud of, and I wanted to share it!

This past weekend my mom and I were able to attend a Beth Moore conference in San Diego. All I can say about that is that if you able to attend one of her live conferences or even one of her Bible studies, you must do it! She is amazing! Her topic this past weekend was on being "known" and she went through all of Psalm 139. She truly is a woman of God and she speaks such wonderful words of wisdom. I am hoping to do another one of her studies some day. I can't tell you enough how much I love her! I think the most fun I had during the conference was watching her worship during the worship time with Travis Cottrell. She is unashamedly committed to Christ and it's such a beautiful thing to watch.

Hopefully this weekend I can get some pictures loaded so I can get you guys updated. I'm actually looking forward to going through my photos because I forgot what all we did!

    Mr. Darcy is dreamy

So I watched this movie this weekend. My wonderful husband kept himself busy for two-three hour periods so I could watch this. To give him the benefit of the doubt, he really did try to watch the whole thing with me, but after the first 30 minutes, he couldn't take it any longer.

I thought for the longest time I had seen this, but after watching it, I realized it must have been something else, or perhaps I was dreaming, but holy cow did I ever love this movie!! I am really wanting to add this to my personal collection. Not only was the acting wonderful, but the scenery (Colin Firth as well as the English countryside)  and the costumes were gorgeous! When the movie was finished, I looked at Eric and told him I was born 150 years too late. I don't belong in this century. Being the realist that he is, he then reminded me that they didn't have indoor plumbing or hair dryers back in those days. Spoil sport!!

I've decided to try to read the story again. I am an avid reader, but I could never get past the third or fourth chapter of Pride and Prejudice. There was just something about it I couldn't get past. After seeing the movie and being able to picture things in my head a little bit better, I have decided to give it a go again.

If I start saying things like "thither" and other such classic English phrases, you'll know why
