Ch.Ch.Ch.Changes
So I'm on the way to being a stay at home wife! No, I haven't quit my job...yet, however, I now have an extra day off of work!

Here is some background to the new day off!
I work in the development business. When there is a building boom, we are swamped and money comes rolling in! When there is a lull in building, we are making up things to do in the office, just to keep us busy. Well, with the economy not doing so hot and building being at an all time low since I began working at this company 7 and a half years ago, our business is hurting and we are starting to feel the financial crunch.
My husband and I work for the most gracious bosses. Instead of laying people off, they have cut overtime hours and have dispersed projects all around the office, so that the employees have something to do. No overtime has hurt us a little bit, but we learned to cut some corners and have been fine. Now that times are a bit harder and jobs aren't rolling in as fast, my bosses have come to us Office Support Staff to let us know that we are being asked to cut our hours back from 40 hours a week, to 30 hours a week.
This actually couldn't have happened at a more perfect time!
About a month or so ago, I decided to attend Bible Study Fellowship (something that I swore I would never do!). Before you get assigned a teaching leader in BSF, you need to attend an introduction class so they can fill you in on what BSF is all about (which I already knew, seeing as my mom was a leader for 9 years) and have you fill out forms to give to the administrators so that you can be assigned. Well, last Wednesday (which just so happened to be my mama's birthday) I took the day off to go to the introduction class and just spend the day with my mom. I had only planned to take a half day off of work on Wednesdays to attend BSF, but since I really enjoyed my day off, I told Eric that I wished there was a way I could take every Wednesday off. I was nervous about the finances (it was already a stretch to take a half day off) and I didn't think my boss would like me taking a full day off, so I just prayed it would work out some way.
When I went into work on Thursday, my boss sat me down in her office and let me know of the new arrangement. I was actually thrilled! A little bit scared about money, but excited just the same because I knew this was the answer from God that I prayed about! In fact, my boss used to attend BSF so she was the one to suggest that I take a full day off of Wednesday instead of the half day she already approved. She said the lessons are time consuming and that way I can get a head start on them! I love how God works! One thing that I'm hoping is that we can get used to living on less and perhaps in a couple of months, I can offer to help the company by taking two days off of work. We'll see. God knows my heart and desires, so He will work it out in His time.
So tomorrow is my first Wednesday off. Bible study doesn't start till September, so I've got this summer to work on different projects on my new day off. I've already got a list going of what I hope to get accomplished tomorrow. I told my husband that even though I love him to pieces, it's nice to have him out of the house when I clean, because it takes twice as long to do my cleaning when he's home.
Hopefully I can take pictures of a new project I'm working on to help me keep my home clean and organized all week, instead of a few days over the weekend.
