  • I earned my Eagle, Globe, and Anchor on 9/11.

I'm back home on boot leave. It's great to be home and spend some time with my family.

I am a United States Marine.
Charging that last hill on Reaper, I knew my dream I had for so long was about to come true. The thought so overwhelming I didn't feel a slight bit of pain on my leg.
Receiving that Eagle, Globe, and Anchor being called a Marine by my Drill Instructor, I just remember crying like never before. The ceremony was joined by the moment of silence for the 9/11 victims. I'll never forget this day.
I shook each Drill Instructor's hand on Family day, I know I will never forget their names no matter what.

It's been a bit awkward not having to wake up to "LIGHTS, LIGHTS, LIGHTS!" and not having to do things that I've been doing for whole 3 months of training, but slowly I'm getting used to the change again.

There's so much in my mind, but for some reason I can't get it out...

    Semper Fidelis.

  • Funny Feeling

So last few days I've been going around a lot of places and I forgot to blog about this surprise party my sister and friends planned. Well, here are some pictures.Truth or Dare Xenga These sneaky people These Girls 2 IMG_3248 IMG_3241 IMG_3240

This happened after my dad took me and Golf out to lunch (obviously he was also part of it!) We came back and these people got me and Golf as well haha. We then played around and went to Mountain's Edge park to hike and also play in the water playground. Thanks to everyone who were there. =]

Oh yeah, then I graduated 3 days ago (ALREADY been 3 days? 0.0). Took a lot of pictures, but I didn't upload them yet, I'll do that sometime next week. It was a great feeling turning the tassel. Afterwards some of us got together than night and went Karaoke-ing. Omg, stayed there until about 1:40am and came back home. That was a fun night.

Well the funny feeling, after all these fun, now everyone is starting to leave one by one. Golf just left today to Air Force this morning, I won't be seeing him until who knows when. Only a bit of online comments and that crap maybe after 3 months. Thinking about it it's creepy lol. I know Golf will do just fine with his training and become a proud Airman in the United States Air Force. Please keep him in your prayers and go leave him some comments on his myspace, he'll be able to read them after he is done with it. Well, now I guess I am the next one to leave Las Vegas!

  • Fun in San Diego

Has it been a while since I updated this thing?

My grandparents and 2nd aunt on my mom's side came to visit from Korea. They've been here since June 3rd, and we decided to go to San Diego and LA. We just got back with lots of pictures, but I'll post those later since I'm tired.

Oh btw, now my family's officially been living here for 5 years as of June 4th! YAY! lol. Idk, that was just something random I wanted to say. haha. Now I can apply for a U.S. Citizenship? lol.

San Diego was great, we went to Sea World directly from Vegas, arrived right before it opened. Jihye and I jumped on the Atlantis ride with NO WAIT, woohoo! Then all of us got to Shipwreck ride thing, got soaked! I guess it was a good thing but at the same time it wasn't; there was no wait on that ride because it was cloudy and COLD! I was shivering after getting wet. Then we walked around and watched all those shows. I really loved the new Shamu show "Believe." After Sea World we got to Days Inn and washed up to go out to eat dinner. Good food. Came back and slept.

So, you know the MCRDSD where I'm going for Boot Camp is in San Diego. I asked for the city map and looking at where it was... then I found out, the Inn we were staying at was just a block away from there! I was excited and I got all of us to drive around the whole MCRD. So now my parents know how to get there when I graduate from it. .

Afterwards stopped by La Jolla beach, took lots of pictures, then to this one church where the Korean Drama "All In" was filmed, it was so nice there. Then to LA, shopped around, then came back home. Throughout this trip we passed by USMC Air Station Miranmar and Camp Pendleton. We got to see Marines training in Camp Pendleton right by the highway we were driving on (I think they were training or something, there were tanks and vehicles on the mountains and fields.) There is now 12 days left! Here I come!

  • School is over in 2 weeks.

    Wow. Already?

4 School Days + 4 Final Days, then we are graduating. Compared to all the other years this year has gone by the fastest. I wasn't feeling anything until it hit me yesterday during our Orchestra banquet. I don't know what it was, but there was some kind of emptiness again in me. End of high school is a lot to go through with all the farewells and stuff with all different kinds of people: Key Club CNH District Board 2007-08, Ed W. Clark HS Class of 2008 and also all the other friends, church, then my family. After all that there is whole new chapter of life waiting for me.

Grandparents and my aunt are visiting from Korea in 2 weeks, I'm excited for that. We'll be going to San Diego for few days and also go to many other places. They'll see me at graduation. =] Oh yeah, we only get 8 tickets each for the graduation and with all my family coming it's already gone... -0-, I need to grab a little bit more hopefully. Graduation: June 12, 2008, 3pm, Orleans Arena.

29 days until I leave. The real countdown has begun! dun dun dun. :]
