Life in the FAST lane
My goodness...I need a 6 lane Freeway to accomodate all that I have going on at any one time! At this time it would be due to my beloved daughter being home.
on Wednesday we went out looking for an apartment for her. As you might have read, that was somewhat of a shock and a frustrating event. Not to be daunted, we forged on and the place that we thought would have been snatched up for sure before we had a chance, was the place that she ended up getting into. Who knew that it would all come together so fast. She inquired on Wednesday, turned in her info application on Thursday, had the credit check on Friday, approved on Saturday and handed the keys...which brings us to Sunday, her 27th birthday which we spent MOVING boxes upon boxes and three years of furniture held in the storage unit! Sheesh...what a way to spend your birthday huh?
She had me painting an armoire that was not a satisfactory color, assembling kitchen chairs we bought two years ago and never assembled, and on and on. With Ron's broken arm, he tried to help out with what he could. It was an exhausting day.
We did manage to fit in going to "early" service at church and decided I kind of liked going that early in the summer months. We also took a break and at 4:00 pm went to a family celebration for her birthday at her grandmothers with family. That was a nice break. She only has a few small windows of time to get moved in with her busy work schedule, my schedule and her second job so Sunday was the only full day she would have for the next 10 days to make this move....we were not prepared to do have this happen so soon. Nothing was packed and we had no boxes. Thank goodness for all the heavy drinkers out there! We were able to find a treasure trove of boxes at the liquor store. The grocery stores had none to give us.
I have also been doing 20 million piles of paperwork that has needed to get done. My tv room looks a giant desk with files spread out all over the floor. I got side tracked while doing it and had to stop everything to go into "move" mode and now today, I have tried to get back to this paperwork and find that I am confused and lost as to where I was at! NUTs...
Work called me and asked me to come in for a mere 4 hours last night as "company" was expected by 9 am for inspections and we needed to all pitch in and make it look good...so I left Nicoles apartment at 10:30 pm and headed off to work where i spent the next 4 hours doing more moving and cleaning....I got out of there at 3:00 am and today...I am trying to decompress...look at the paperwork, be domestic goddess and get the laundry done, and somewhere in there...there is always the big burning question....WHATS FOR DINNER??

My blinker is on as I am making a move across 5 lanes of moving traffic into the EXPRESS lanes!!

I hate moving, even if I'm not the one doing it. I have to move my own daughter into her place in a week or so.
Believe me I totally understand how crazy move is. We just underwent one for the office. Thanks for sending me a hello. Yes I had been extremely busy in the last few weeks. You are so sweet. I should be back to normal now.
