Hey guys, a really good friend of mine, Dan Sterrett (my boss in times past when working at ALERT), has been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer.  He's been given 8 months to live but in 3 weeks they're planning on doing surgery.  I don't know real details about that, but I'm guessing to see what they can do.  He's a surviving veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, has a wife, and they just had baby number 3 last December.  I know God can work miracles, he did it for my pastor 30 years ago when he was given 6 months to live.  Please pray for a miracle!  But all in God's will.  Thank you!

Boy, do I love having a budget!  I got on Quicken today and brought it up to date as well as budgetting out my money.  Now I feel like I have control over it and not the other way around.  I also feel like I have more money than I actually do.   Always a good feeling. 

Things are gearing up for San Antonio on Saturday.  Tomorrow I take my sister's car to get an oil change.  I'm so happy.  Not about the oil change, but about the adventure lurking just around the corner.  This time I will be the senior one on the trip, not the youngest or youngER ones.  No, I'm not getting independent, it's just a sense of adventure in my single years.  Trust me, I cannot WAIT to get married.  Okay, I can wait because I want one and ONLY that one man who is meant for me, but you know what I mean.  I would rather be a stay-at-home mom then a career-minded single (or married) woman.   But even married we can take vacations together.  haha.  And now I must get to bed.  The curse of being human! Mwahaha.
