| Use it while it lasts, folks!If you haven't already, take advantage of the day off of school and the new snow to go skiing! If you aren't in some sort of spring sport, be sure to keep training for next year since, as they say, the real winners are made in the summer (or even at the beginning of spring!) So get out that spandex and wax and ski while the snow is still around! | | |
| Last Race Opportunity of the Year!!!This saturday is the Hoigaard's Breadsmith Slush Rush at Elm Creek. The race is a 10k skate or classic race, with race day registration starting at 8:00 am, with the race starting at 9:00. Registration is $10, and there are age group and door prizes. | Summer TrainingHey guys- The banquet was fun tonight. A great way to remember the season. To make next season great, we need to start thinking about training this summer. Skiers are made in the summer. To look into summer training programs, your first stop would be www.mnvalleyskiteam.com. Minnesota Valley is a great program, that had 38 skiers race at state this year and 11 make the Midwest team for Junior Nationals. | Dale Woodbeck, a commissioner at Three Rivers Park District and a
great supporter of nordic skiing has contacted me to ask that I alert
everyone to an open house being held next week to consider the project
for snowmaking at Hyland Lake Park Reserve.
Below are the details:

| Nice job to Benn at state! 43rd overall, with a 36th place in skate!
Also congratulations to all skiers and coaches who participated in this weekend's Birkie/Korte races!
The nordic season may be over, but the training never ends- Go out there and run, ski, bike, get in shape for the 08-09 season...Great things are expected!
