| Hey All!Hey everybody how have you all been. Does anyone still use xanga any more? | | |
| The New YearHere I stand at a new
beginning again
Another year behind
with another before me
Filled with opportunities
and oppositions
I’ll continue to stand
and declare again and again
That I am crucified
with Christ yet I live
In Christ alone my
hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest
drought and storm
In Christ alone I
place my trust
And find my glory in the power
of the cross
In every victory let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope
In Christ alone
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His Hand
'til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

So …here we are, well into the new year.
2006 is behind us and 2007 has just gotten started. How have you been doing with your
resolutions? Have you already forgotten? Some would say that they resolute to not make
any resolutions at New Years so that way they don’t have to worry about not
being able to not keep their resolutions.
Well, if you aim for nothing you’ll hit it every time with out error;
that is for sure. As I think of the new
year I see many things that are planned to happen over this next year within my
own life. Immediately, there is a youth
winter retreat coming up (February 16-19, 2007). It’s going to be an awesome time with the
teens from our church and a few other churches that are in the surrounding
area. In March the youth group has Teens
Involved competitions and a Basketball Marathon (with volleyball and something
else that I can’t think of). Then there
is a lock-in and WOL West Coast camp in late July and then we’ll start all over
again with a new youth group year in September.
It’s going to be another awesome year I think. I anticipate seeing the working of the Lord
in our youth group here at the church. So
what kind of resolutions did you make and have the good intention of keeping
this year? Did you make any resolutions
regarding spiritual growth? I hope that
you have an awesome year that is filled with exciting personal and spiritual
growth. | | |
| True and ConsequencesWelcome back to the wonderful world of the Elfhunter. The elves would normally be happy to greet you but they have as of recently gone extinct. Sorry, that's the natural consequence of over hunting. Speaking of Consequences, what do you believe (or know) the Bible teaches about consequences? Obviously there are what we would identify as negative consequences, but is there also such a thing as positive consequences? How do you best understand this word, in a positive or negative sense? How do you deal and handle consequences? Do look for help when dealing with consequences and if so who or what do you turn to for help and answers? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts and would like for you to supply a source for your point of view should you like to respond. | | |
| Where's Weskimo?
Where's Weskimo?
Just where has the Weskimo been? Good question. Even better question would be; what has Weskimo been up to? As my friends list has grown this has been a very common question and I havent really taken the time to fill every one in on where Ive been and what Ive been up to. Ive heard that its been rumored that I fell off the face of the earth and Im pleased to inform all of you that Im alive and well. So I do apologize to those that Ive not messaged back and stayed in touch with.
Many of you know that I no longer reside in the sunshine state (Florida) but instead have moved across-country to the evergreen state Kirkland, WA (Eastside of Seattle). I've tried not making this an east coast vs. west coast thing, no harsh feels to either coast. Some of you may be thinking that was a drastic move and I would agree. I left FL one year ago (end of August 2005) for a two fold reason. One, to be closer to my immediate family; and two, to get involved at First Baptist Church of Kirkland to become the new youth pastor. When I arrived here I hit the ground running with being involved with the youth group. We've had several large events including Fall Retreat, WOL Superbowl, WOL T.I. Competitions, Winter Retreat, Lock-In, VBS, WOL Summer Camp (west coast style), and now Summer Slam. I've been involved with all these events spending time with the teens and getting to know them, and enjoying every minuet of it.
Upon arriving here I found work just a few blocks away at an automotive garage and I worked there until the end of December. At the beginning of January I found a better job with better pay and a better schedule (6am 2:30pm). Working at Algas-SDI has been a real blessing for me because it has given me the afternoons to be able to spend with the teens. Lately Ive been putting in quiet a bit of over time going in at 5am and finishing around 3:30pm along with Saturdays as well. Its been tiresome but Im looking forward to the time when I become the full-time youth director at FBCK. Right now it looks like I'll be starting at the church on September 15, 2006. I'll be quitting my job at Algas-SDI on September 1st and will be flying out back to my original home state, the Hoosier state, Indiana. I'll be there for a few days to gather the rest of my belongings and my truck I have left in storage at my grandparent's house and will be making the long road trip back out to Seattle, WA.
To all my friends across the U.S., I,ve missed you in this past year and hope that you are all doing well. I hope to make a visit down to Florida sometime soon. Not knowing how soon it will be but sooner rather than later. If that phrase makes any sense at all. Keep in touch as I keep my xanga page updated. Take care and talk to you soon.

| Yeah I might be a little bit loco But it keeps me from losin' my mind but half insane that's ok 'Cause a little bit crazy's all right Why is it that my Xanga site is called elfhuter? well for those who don't know me all that well or don't know me by that title, it's a good question. Its rather quite simple really. I have an XBOX live account and my tag name is,.....yep you guessed it, elfhunter. By the way I'll have to make a quick shameless plug for the best game of all time being Halo2. So, there you have it. It comes from my gamer tag. Since the birth of this new nickname, I've added amendments to it such as my imfamous elf'n call (to which there are no words to describe it, hearing is understanding). To all the fellas on my friends list, remember the elfhunt awaits for you in the shadows. | | |
