Well, we are about halfway through our stay here in Belo Horizonte, Brasil.  Darci made it after major attacks of the enemy and almost didn´t come.  She became VERY sick on the flight from KC to Dallas and blacked out on the plane among other things.  EMT´s checked her at the gate and felt she needed to wait a day until trying to fly internationally, so she was put up in a hotel and her flight schedule rearranged for the next day.  The next day she still felt really bad but was determined to come.  When she finally arrived in Sao Paulo, her plane came in late and the customs and immigration lines were so long she missed her flight here to Belo Horizonte.  In the mean time we were waiting for her and she never came.  I was frantic, to say the least, especially since I knew she had been so sick.  We tried to find out where she was through the airline, but they kept telling us they had no record of her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  She finally showed up on a flight four hours later, praise the Lord!!!!! 

Since her arrival and the beginning of the recording of the CD, God has done wonderful things.  He has placed us with people and is using us to minister not only through our CD and in churches, but for the lives of those around us, and in turn they are ministering to us as well.  Isn´t that what it´s all about?  One of the neat things that has happened is that a Christian TV station somehow got word of us and came to the studio to interview us and they took some of our pictures from the Amazon to show on the program.  How God is opening doors!!!  There is also a young man here named Egoh, who is considered to be the best drummer in Belo Horizonte (a city of 5-6 million people), and he has no family and basically lives from friend to friend.  He has recorded drums for us and he is planning to come to Manaus when we return from the U.S. to work with us in the ministry there!  We are so excited! 

Please continue to pray that the Lord would open doors.  Also pray for all of those singing as they will be recording voices Friday-Monday.  Nothing like spending easter singing praises all day to our Lord! 

VICTORY!!

Although the attacks of the enemy keep rolling in, Aldair woke up yesterday morning and said, "We are going to be victorious!  Even if we get a bill for 10,000,000 reais, we are going to be victorious!!"  Can anyone shout Praise the Lord??!!!  Even as the attacks roll in, I am excited because each new attack that arrives is affirming the dream of God in our lives.  Let me give you an example:  This week we got an outrageous bill from the telephone company for 450 reais, that´s about $225.  Absolutely crazy, we hardly even use our telephone!!  Everyone here is telling me that that is a telephone bill for a large company with several phone lines.  Anyway, being Brazil the consumer has NO, and I mean NO rights.  They wouldn´t change it so we went to this processing center for complaints against companies here in Manaus.  They agreed it was erroneous and that the telephone company probably did it on purpose, which they are known to do, but said we needed to pay it for now as the list of complaints to be processed is so long it will be several months before they get to ours.  They filed the complaint and told us to take the notice of action back to the telephone company so they would know they are being processed, which sometimes causes them to settle the matter right then, but of course that didn´t happen.  When we arrived back home, our phone was shut off and I mean off.......dead air.  We went to Aldair´s mom ´s house to call the company, again, and they said there was a problem with the phone line........yeah right.  We went right back home and it was back on again.  Very quick, don´t you think? 

Anyway, I said all that to say that we are recording a CD for our ministry in English and Portuguese in Belo Horizonte, Brasil next month and the amount we fault in paying the down payment for the studio is exactly 450 reais!  The amount of the phone bill.  Coincidence?  I think not.  Satan has been working so hard to destroy this project when at the same time the Lord has been opening doors and confirming things.  Please pray for us, pray for the Holy Spirit to descend in that studio so that anyone who hears the CD will be overtaken by His Spirit.  Pray for finances.......we know our God is more than enough.  Pray for strength and energy.... this has been a trying month.  We leave on Saturday and will return the 20th.  Darci will be meeting us in Belo Horizonte to record with Aldair.  There will also be several other well-known worship leaders recording with us, we are so excited!! 

The goal of this cd is three-fold.  1) To raise up a passion for the Lord, worshiping Him in Spirit and in Truth; 2) To birth in the hearts of this generation a compassion for the nations; and 3)  Raise resources for missions projects here in Brasil and the interior of the Amazon.We believe God has GREAT and MIGHTY things with this project!  For He is good, all the time!

Have you ever been so filled with a holy anger that you feel as if you will burst?  That is how I feel.  The enemy has been pulling out the big guns and I am so frustrated!!  I know that I know that I know that God has some amazing things right around the corner and satan is doing everything he can to stop it, using the most tactical offense he can find.  Hitting hard where there are the greatest weaknesses and insecurities.  I must admit I´ve been tired and I haven´t been fighting like the general I know I need to be, making moves ahead of the enemy to keep him at bay.  The enemy has snuck up on our two-person army here in a small bairro in Manaus and throughout other´s lives, and he is throwing every blazing dart he can find.  As painful as it has been, I know the Lord has allowed it, not to take us out (although we´ve been very close), but to call us back to our places as generals in His army.  This general has become so fed up and so angry with the attacks of the enemy that I am sure there must be continual reverberations in the spirit realm of a holy shout leaving from this house.  My home, my husband, my family, my ministry, my friends, and my friend´s ministries are under the blood of Jesus!  Satan you have no place in our lives and I command you and every one of your demons to leave NOW in the Name of Jesus!  This has been literally shouted within the four concrete walls of this white and red stucco house various times over the last several days, and I am tired.  Tired of the enemy thinking he can destroy the dream of the Lord.  I have a holy anger burning inside and the flames are rising. 

I believe the enemy is trying to advance with greater and stronger attacks because he knows what is coming and he knows the devastating effects it will have on his kingdom.  And great effects it WILL have because the dream of the Lord will go forth!!!!  Whatever it takes, whatever He asks me to do, it WILL be done because the dream of the Lord WILL go forth!!  It will go forth here in Manaus, in Brasil, in Seattle, in Wichita, in Joplin.......................THE DREAM OF THE LORD WILL GO FORTH!!!!  And the bride will be awakened to her Beloved, and the bride will be awakened to her Beloved because the dream of the Lord will go forth! 

This holy anger with its flames rising will begin to overtake the enemy and he will retreat, no longer on the offensive but on the defensive and then he will turn and run knowing his power is nothing in comparison to the power that has been given to the sons of God through His Holy Spirit.  

For as it is written in Mark 16:17-18  "And these signs will accompany those who believe:  In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on the sick people and they will get well." 

And and I cry out, "YES LORD!  I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I took the "Which Princess Are You?" quiz and it came out to be Snow White, but then I looked at the other profiles and I had two others with the same percentage and then three others with the same percentage but lower.  Strange............I guess I´m really more of a mix (according to the percentages) of Snow White, Belle, and Sleeping Beauty with Jasmine, Cinderella, and Megara (who is that anyway?) trailing behind.

THE HOTTEST PLACE ON EARTH

Either I am living in the hottest place on earth or close to it.  Today about did me in.  So hot you feel sluggish and all you want to do all day is sleep with your window box air conditioner running in your bedroom.  Thank God for that or I would never be able to sleep at night.  The rest of the house was an inferno today.  I wrote on Christy´s blog that I am still amazed the Lord sent me here because I always said I wanted to live in Colorado or somewhere cold.  So much for that!  I actually stood on the equator line the other day.  It had a huge stone statue-like marking that said "Equador", that´s portuguese for equator.  I know, I know I too thought we were on the border of the country Ecuador until I realized that Ecuador does not border Brasil and then I felt pretty stupid and geographically challenged. 

Anyway, here is a awesome picture of a jungle waterfall I took........helps me cool off just looking at it.  I actually got to swim in it and several others.  Looks like the movies doesn´t it?? 

If you come to visit me here I´ll take you to see it!  AND if the water isn´t up too much you can even swim in it!!  (That means don´t come during the rainy season).

Well it is official!  Our tickets are bought (not necessarily paid for) and we are definitely coming in May!!!  Aldair says my eyes sparkle every time we talk about it, I didn´t know my eyes could sparkle but he says they do.  Maybe that´s because he is my wonderful husband who looks for things like that.  Anyway, I am really looking forward to spending time with family and friends because things were so hectic before we left and I was working so we didn´t get to spend much time that wasn´t rushed.  I believe it will be a nice refresher! (like this waterfall :0)
