The churches I have always been associated with have a great respect for revival. Not only that, they constantly talk about, study, pray for, preach, and long for revival. Truth is, most churches have never seen revival and if they have, it was 30 or more years ago.
Many preachers see the lack of revival as an insult, accusation, or indictment against the church and many feel guilty about it. Some hold meeting they call “revivals” but which are not, while others comfort themselves by telling their churches that what they are seeing in church IS revival, even though it rarely is.
I too long for revival and I have even seen a bit of true revival in the 1970's during the charismatic renewal. But I don’t worry too much about revival. I have found such a focus to be counter productive. I have decided to let God sort out all the why’s or why not’s concerning it all.
Instead of focusing on revival, I have chosen to focus on doing what God has called me to do and doing that to the best of my ability.
That said, I am very pleased to be able to report that what we are seeing happen in our church in Viborg, Denmark has the look and feel of revival. We are in a very exciting time.
I feel privileged that God has placed me here and allowed me to be part of what He is doing. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Kind of nice to be in Denmark!
Woo Hoo! At least someone is waking up - in a Spiritual sense! Sometimes it is sad to watch some turn and run the other way! Maybe they need to be invited back?
I have never given much thought to thenotion of revival... except when I take my CPR refresher classes. I shall ponder it more so though, because you placed it in the light before my eyes.
BTW don't let Doll catch you looking at the porn link on my site today.
Hooray!!!
On another note... my friend from here (that I teach with on Thursdays) is now in Denmark for the summer. I think she is south east of you.. on the other island or penisula. I'm not sure what city. She showed me where she was going and where you are and they only looked about 2 inches apart on the map. I didn't think 2 inches was a huge deal. She just rolled her eyes.
You should share what God is doing! It may encourage others! I love where our church is at and how its growing and challenging all the time...God is so good.
I feel privileged to have gotten to know you!
how exciting for you both! our church seems to have more "life" to it these days, too, which also encourages me. i still long for that (i will imagine) "wonder-full" feeling that i am where God wants me to be & doing what God wold have me do...
How exciting!! I believe there is a move of God going on right now that we have not seen in years. My own personal opinion on this is that this is the omega run, a revival before Jesus comes back. Our church has seen some amazing things going on and it actually started on Mother's Day and hasn't stopped. (I believe it's a direct result of some of our men going to the church every night for a month, praying and seeking God for our church;, it's people, our country, and for souls) We have always been a church where there were people who give their lives to Christ every week anyway. This, however, is different. This is within our own body. In order to have a revival, you have to be willing to admit that something needs revived. If we are willing, God can move in us and use us and heal us, and bless us in ways we can't even fathom at this moment. There have been so many things I have seen happen over the past few weeks I couldn't even begin to write them all out here. I'll be praying for your church and I am praying that we also see an old fashioned revival here in America like we've never seen before!
Blessings

Wonderful!! Can you tell us what you mean by the look and feel of revival?
Letting God sort it out is usually the best way to go. I wish more people would do that.
