| | Where to begin...After we dropped off part of the group at Hannah's Hope, we went and picked up the woman whose house we would be rebuilding. Her name is Jamie, and she works at Hannah's Hope as a special mother. She lives with her brother, Jazier, and their young sister. Their mother is very sick so she has to live in a home. Since the mother got sick, their father remarried. So he does not support them at all. Jamie has to support her brother and sister on her one salary. So anyways, we picked Jamie up and went to the hardware store to get some supplies. Then we went to the Limonodia. When we arrived David told Jamie that we were rebuilding her house. It was a surprise and she was surprised. At one point David asked is that okay; to which she responded with an exuberant YES! So after we got off the bus, we walked to the house. The Limonodia is on a huge hill with a river running through the middle. The way down is on cement stairs that are very steep. The steps are covered in trash. As we were walking down, the people looked at us inquisitively. We finally made it to the house. When we got into the house there were two rooms. When you first walk in there is a like a bathroom area with a toliet with no seat and a drain with a pipe for water. In the other side of the house was the bedroom. They had one full size bed, a cabinet, and a three shelf book shelf.
This isn't even half of the story, but it's late -- will finish tomorrow.
