| | Tonight I read the second half of my Friday (thursday to me) entry to my mother. It made her cry, but I think it was a good cry. . . She said, "Well, I'm glad you learned, too." (how to hug and kiss Grandma, ignoring our expectation of objections.) We had a good long talk, about things related to Grandma. She said she's found several notes and poems she wrote to her, and even a rough draft that Mom wrote for Grandma of a letter to the Credit Union. I keep thinking of good things Grandma did for me and good things we did together. It's too bad that people don't relive these memories together more often, without the death to act as catalyst. |
